No Country for Old Men: Modern Noir Collection (Released)
Time

Personally, I have a real love of classic black and white Noir movies from the 40’s and 50’s, so I decided to take some of my all time favorite films and convert them into modern noir movies and upload for your enjoyment and critique. The first selection is No Country for Old Men, a Coen Brothers classic and a perfect film for the Noir genre. As with any preservation or fan project, you MUST own a commercial copy of the film before you download this version. All will be 1080p ISO images. Thanks and feedback is always welcome and as always, these projects will be on your favorite internal organ shortly.

Upcoming:

The Game
Unforgiven
Minority Report
Raiders of the Lost Ark

War of the Planet of the Apes…I liked it even though it could have been trimmed down quite a bit; a fitting end to the trilogy. 8/10

In the spirit of the new Ape trilogy, I rented the 1968 original. A bit cheesy, mostly Heston’s delivery, but a decent vintage sci-fi offering…
2 1/2 damn dirty apes out of a possible 4.

Well, maybe they were just confused. Sometimes it’s hard to distinguish Keanu from a dog; their acting chops are roughly identical.

I think that comparison may be insulting to canine thespians…they are far more emotive and natural in their method compared to Keanu, whose acting chops are more reminiscent of drift wood IMHO.

Blu-Ray and other HD box size STAR WARS covers
Time

Herein lies the issue with all of the awesome artwork produced by members of OT, it is just so damn hard to choose just one set of covers.

I recently downloaded a pretty large file of covers courtesy of J Fo and found some by Coov that were just beautiful…I changed them a bit to better fit the Despecializd project using copy from sources on OT. I would like to post them; but if it is not within the rules of the board, since they are not solely my creation—more like adaptaions, let me know and I will remove them…

I’m sure the chipboard slip case boxes are more durable than the v1 ronwilm’s slip case design, but I used Red River’s 88lb Polar Matte Card stock (13"x19")for the inner and out slip covers and they came out awesome.

I also used the 66lb Polar Matte Double Sided (11x17) for the criterion inserts and lobby cards. 68lb Ultra Pro Satin 8.5x11 for mini poster and envelopes.

It was a fun project…came out really nice.

It sounds like a quality project. Are you able/willing to post up some pics? I would be interested in seeing the final result. Personally, I have never really been happy with the paper stock that I have been limited to, so perhaps taking a page out of your book may yield better results for my own set.
