Indeed! although i wish you had put a capital at the start of your sentence...

Damn you George what have you done to us haha.

it is not needed on sentence fragments like this..

that's why i use ellipses... A LOT!

haha

later

-1

That's not

grammatically true.

later

timdiggerm

really?

according to this...

==============

However, an ellipses and no period can be used at the end of a sentence fragment to indicate that it is purposefully incomplete.

http://impertinentremarks.com/2012/02/the-ellipses-use-it-properly/

or are you talking about capitalization?

because i don't capitalize the 'i's' either.

now back to harmy's 'as the grammar world turns'...

ooops. i mean as 'star wars DE:HD' turns...

haha

Well, the LD-V4400 is out, as I read that it's well-known for terrible ghosting problems.

is there a reason you're talking about laserdiscs in a VHS thread?

maybe a new format LD-VHS? haha

later

-1

Nope. I de-railed my own thread :-(

Do you know where I can find a good laserdisc player on-the-cheap?

got mine off ebay.

they're pretty cheap depending on the model.

however the shipping prices are pretty high

due to the weight.

good luck..

Star Wars - watch parties - are you planning one? previews/videos
Time

so going back to the thought

about how to sync up the soundtrack

with the film.

well, it looks like recording the sound,

and then having a laptop to play it back

will be the plan...

that way if it de-sync's, adjustments can

be made to make sure it sounds right.

only the first reel may have some tricky parts,

due to the splices.. and once it hits han shoots

first (which is in english). we'll know that it's ok..

I just finished downloading this. Using Free Download Manager reduced my download time from 30min/file to ~8-10 minutes total!

I'm just waiting to verify the CRC-32 with none before 'spleening it.

Also, -1, I can't send you PMs because your inbox is full.

ok, cleaned some up.

sorry about that.

good to go?

Does it match the cropping of Video Collectors' ROTJ_TP and Treadwell's TWC328_ROTJB?  (which share a common origin, but are multiple reproductions away from each other)

When you say first generations, is that one removed from the source reproduction, or is this the believed first copy?  Where did this tape source from geographically?  PAL/NTSC?  One of the main RotJ bootleg stories was the Hastings heist.  Where LFL/Fox put out a bounty for the prints return:  (Babyhum's BH018 has some news reports on the story)

all i know is this is the first generation NTSC tape.

it is not a copy.

ok, we got usenet taken care of..

anybody for myspleen or file sharing sites now?

Harmy's THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Despecialized Edition HD - V2.0 - MKV & AVCHD (Released)

Harmy said:

Sounds great, thanks. Although, I must say that your version unfortunately cannot be considered a perfectly trustworthy color reference, since it's color corrected from a faded print. It would definitely still be a big help though!

apparently there were LPP prints out there of empire.

however, i don't know if anyone's ever come

across one. supposedly there were some sightings

on the 35mm collectors forum. but nothing came out

of it. anyways, it's not meant to be an absolute reference,

but it might be a guide to aid your own color choices.
