I am not looking forward to see shoretroopers, woodtroopers, deathtroopers, watertroopers, sandtroopers or hover tank troopers and what so ever is about to come.

Then you won’t like Episode 4 because they have Sandtroopers 😉

In the OT we get introduced to Snowtroopers and Scout troopers after ep4. So, did you have a problem with those, or is this just because they are something new? Because, if you didn’t have a problem with the introduction of those, then you are being a bit of a hypocrite.

The Dark Empire said:

I think the design of the new troopers should have been more like storm- and scouttroopers with slighly little differences not a whole new design.

The design is pretty much a pre cursor to the scout trooper, and NOT the stormtrooper. So, instead of comparing the stormtrooper / clone trooper helmets as a way to prove your point, you should compare the shoretrooper/ scout trooper instead.

The Dark Empire said:
Now we have a liht brown or khaki coloured shoretrooper. To me that makes no sense. Even in green environments the empire uses white soldiers. It is because they do not hide from the enemy. The empire does use this all the same faceless black and white looking troopers to create fear.

The George Lucas clonetrooper fits more into Star Wars as this RO troopers.
And i hate to say that.

Yeh, because george never had troopers that weren’t all white …oh, wait…

The new troopers fit in perfectly with the universe. The designs are very reminiscent of the old concept designs done for Star Wars.

Thank you!!! Never understood his problem with the new outfits.

ABCs of Death (2012) – 3/10

ABCs of Death 2 (2014) – 7/10

Flipping through my Netflix queue this morning looking for something to watch while waiting for the DVD of The Conjuring to show up, I came across the first of these. Watched the first five (through E) and I’ll admit it’s not that great so far, but I wouldn’t go so low as a 3/10.

I just looked up “F” and it’s for “fart” so that doesn’t encourage me, however.

Ha you should have went to Wal-Mart. Ours has the conjuring in the $5 bin. I wouldn’t imagine were the only one.

We also had the BLU RAY of the Fellowship of the Ring. Seems odd to have a brand New blu ray of a big name movie that cheap.

Aw, man! Walmart here never has any Blus in the $5 bin! At best, there’s the occasional DVD with a slipcover.

Same but Walmarts 8 dollar bin is nothing but brand new Blu Rays 😃

What the holy crap??? How did I miss that we have BDs WITH the DTS-HD MA tracks, as well as all audio/subtitle tracks, menus and a butt-ton of extras (including even more audio tracks… such as Rifftrax)? I follow Harmy’s SW, ESB and ROTJ threads and the v2.7 thread pretty closely (or at least so I thought) and had no idea about this… Did I miss some posts about this in these places before now?

His blu Ray sets are one of the greatest fucking things to ever happen to humanity. I don’t ever need an Offical release now that we have njvc’s stunning custom ones of his one.

Are you gonna smash the hot blue alien chick so hard?

Not as hard as Daisy but the blue alien chick is sexy as hell.

Someday, when (if) you grow up, you will (might) look back in shame at your posts (probably not).

I’m proud to appreciate the beauty of women. I basically used such strong terms in describing Ridleys hotness to counteract the equally harsh words of Malastrana towards Ridley. Me and Haseo are defending the beauty of a wonderful actress because Malastrana was being very rude to her. Daisy deserves best.

Daisy does deserve best - but saying you want to “smash” someone “so hard” is an extremely aggressive and crude thing to say. Lets be honest, you can’t justify your words with ‘appreciating women’s beauty’.
No shot at you Darthrush, just your words!

Honestly no offense taken my brutha 😉 I had some crude language to say myself in response to how much of a asshole Malastrana was acting like when it came to Daisy Ridley. I understand he doesnt like the film but he didn’t have to personally attack a beautiful, professional and genuinely dedicated person in the Star Wars mix such as Daisy. If out of the blue I wanted to properly appreciate Daisy I would put it elegantly and respectfully but when someone starts Bitchin about Daisys “bad looks” then I come back maybe a little too angry with fighting words.

I do sincerely apolgize for my choice of words. I just hope we can all agree on the fact that Daisy truly is one of the best in the business. Even John Williams said the main reason he’s returning to score episode 8 is because of Daisy.

Episode VIII : The Last Jedi - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *

Lord Haseo said:

SW really had one political scene and that is when the officers are discussing the Emperor dissolving the Senate. Everything else we were taught about the political landscape was explained in the opening crawl.

Though I agree with you and also am a lover of TFA I must admit one of my issues with the film was the lack of political context. And I may be in the minority on this one but every line of fan service was gold to me. Like I honestly ate it up. I saw no issue with things like:

“Chewie, were home.”
“When did that ever help, and don’t say the Death Star.”
“12!”

Idk, to me they are funny, fun lines for the fans.

EDIT:
Just popped in TFA blu Ray and finished the flick yet again and gotta say…FUCK THE HATE! I love TFA! It’s got problems and it leaves me wanting more but I think that means it did its job well. It makes me await the story of episode 8 even more and eventually all will be made clear. I’m so happy Star Wars is back in stunning fashion. Sorry to get emotional people…just never thought I’d see the big three back on screen again.

I don’t like Walmart because they’re a terrible company. I’ll just leave it at that.

We’re doing just fine without you, and fyi Wal-Mart donates a ton of money to children’s miracle network hospitals. Even more than they advertise they do.

When our story opened up everyone was afraid it would put our local grocery store out of business. And it did. But (almost) everyone that worked there got hired at this Wal-Mart and now makes more money than they did there, so it didn’t exactly hurt people’s jobs.

Its not the villain everyone says it is, it’s just any other large chains where some branches are better than others.

Also did you know all employees get quarterly bonuses based on how good that particular store did? And it is on an individual store basis. So in a sense when you shop at Wal-Mart you are helping the workers in your local community.

Fuck yah! Go Walmart!

Yah. I went on a spree of finding every possible full featurette, documentaries, deleted scenes etc etc (pretty much all bonus features possible) for both the original trilogy and prequel trilogy. It’s astounding how much bonus content and docs are publicly released by Lucasfilm on YouTube. Maybe a “force awakens bonus features” thread would be nice. Compiling all radio/tv/event interviews, featurettes, documentaries etc.

I have about 200 gigs

Shnikies, that’s HUGE!!!

I have DJ’s BD25 that has this stuff on it …

And I’m guessing this has menus and is compatible with the other bonus disc.

What I’m saying is, there is no crossover content between the Offical bonus disc and dark Jedis? It’d be cool if I could just toss the DVD from my combo pack and throw in a burned copy of dark Jedis bonus disc.

I will hold off a while to see how things turn out, but if worse comes to worse, I could always just use the V4 video stream and just fix the bad audio. It’s not like the BluRay is a basket of fruit either, and the day for night scene won’t be that much more jacked up than the transfer of the rest of the film.
Attack of the Clones is a very ugly film.

+1. Iv heard complaints about the day to night edit but if it makes you feel any better, my family was astounded that it was originally a day scene. They hadn’t seen the film in ages so I put on the edit without saying it was a fanedit and they were completely fooled 😉 and they actually enjoyed the movie too haha

Ugh. I’m a manager at Wal-Mart (talk down to me for working at Wal-Mart all you want but management here pays me very comfortably) and I totally lost my cool with a customer today. I don’t feel bad about it either.

Our Wal-Mart has a gas station (an actual wal-Mart gas station not a Murphy’s like some Wal-Mart’s have) and a customer there was so furious about something they demanded to speak with a manager. So I went out there.

So, they wanted to get $4 in gas. (Yes this all happened over $4) They apparently didn’t know how fuel pumps work or something. There was only one attendant on duty and she had a line of customers so she couldn’t just drop them to go pump his gas for him until she got her line down and when there’s input one of them they aren’t supposed to step outside anyway unless it’s an emergency.

Anyway, as I get out there I hear the Bastard screaming at the girl “Well I guess you’re just too stupid to turn the pump on!” because supposedly his gas wouldn’t pump.

So I walked out there with him and proceeded to, without any trouble, pump his gas for him. And, with his recent uncalled for insult on an innocent cashier, I calmly said, “Hey, would you look at that… I pulled the trigger and the gas pumped, imagine that. I guess somebody’s just too stupid to pump gas.”

I don’t feel bad about it either. The trend (in this town anyway) to treat retail employees like absolute garbage knowing they have to just take it is getting old. Normally I would’ve just pumped his gas and left with an obvious smirk but that guy was too much.

He deserves it. And I love Walmart. It’s my favorite place for late night blu Ray runs.

JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit: turning a mediocre trilogy into one really good film (Released)

I greatly enjoyed watching the Blu Ray of your edit and applaud what you have done. I have only 2 minor complaints though:

 1. The transition from AUJ to DOS feels a little rushed but as a positive the transition from DOS to BOTFA is ABSOLUTELY SEAMLESS!
 2. We don’t know why Gandalf didn’t follow them out of Rivendell.

Besides these 2 minor issues I have with the edit, I must say…this edit is truly incredible. It now takes its rightful place as the prequel to the LOTR Trilogy in our family’s marathons from this year onward. Thank you!!!

Thanks so much! Glad you took the time to download the Bluray…I put a lot of work into that haha. I can address the two points you’ve made.

 1. The AUJ to DOS transition was smoother in my first cut of the edit, because I removed the eagle sequence. Originally I had the party start running from the orcs/wargs, and cut immediately to them running towards Beorn’s house in DOS. However, many people complained about losing the eagles so I re-inserted them for the final cut. That however meant that I had to figure out a way to get the company off those eagles and into Beorn’s house…no easy task since at the end of AUJ they’re dropped off on top of the Carrock and we never see them get down. So I did the best I could with what I had to work with.
 2. As for Gandalf remaining in Rivendell, I didn’t want to show Galadriel or the White Council at all in the edit, so that meant I couldn’t really show why he stays behind. His comings and goings in the book aren’t really elaborated upon, so you could argue that fits with his actions in this edit!

Thanks again for the feedback 😄

Thanks for the clear up! I forgot that the second issue I have is one that applies to the book also soooo… Too hell with that complaint 😉
