Though I agree with you and also am a lover of TFA I must admit one of my issues with the film was the lack of political context. And I may be in the minority on this one but every line of fan service was gold to me. Like I honestly ate it up. I saw no issue with things like:
“Chewie, were home.”
“When did that ever help, and don’t say the Death Star.”
“12!”
Idk, to me they are funny, fun lines for the fans.

Just popped in TFA blu Ray and finished the flick yet again and gotta say…FUCK THE HATE! I love TFA! It’s got problems and it leaves me wanting more but I think that means it did its job well. It makes me await the story of episode 8 even more and eventually all will be made clear. I’m so happy Star Wars is back in stunning fashion. Sorry to get emotional people…just never thought I’d see the big three back on screen again.
