That’s fantastic, Willarob. Thanks very much for continuing the work on the SSE!

I would agree if it wasn’t for the incredibly ugly and possibly masculine looking Leia.
Shouldn’t this comment be in TFA thread?
I wouldn’t waste any time of this. Willarob recently mentioned that version 1.5 is close to coming out.

This thread is bullshit until the BD is out, and I have a long history of calling out bullshit.
You go Team Smarmy Wanker!
The BD25 is the fixed version.
The fixed version is a BD image, yes.
The usenet post (and former torrent) whose name is “ESB_Grindhouse_1080p_BD25”
is the .mkv in 4:2:2 color space with glitches at the last scene
Damn! Wish I could just grab the Santized version and be done with it.
Is the corrected one the ISO called TN1’s ESB Grindhouse 1080p BD - “20150112”?
That’s what was confusing me – thanks for clarifying, towne32.
Grabbed a Usenet post called “ESB_Grindhouse_1080p_BD25”, and it looks great.
Now I can do a scanned OT mini-marathon before watching TFA!
Thanks for the list! Which are considered the best versions to watch and enjoy as is? I am so behind the times with these.
The BD25 version of the Grindhouse has some glitches fixed at the end of the film. So, that one. They released some reel previews with improved color and cleanup. But they were lower bitrate and watermarked.
But wait – there’s a DCP-sourced V2 of the Empire grindhouse. It’s a WMV, unfortunately, but isn’t it an upgrade to V1?
Darth, thanks very much for uploading all of that stuff. Finally get to use up a good chunk of my Usenet quota.

The Empire Strikes Back - Grindhouse (version 2-DCP sourced)
Done as in look for it on MySpleen, or done as in “stick a fork in it”?
Wow, Ok, I see that. Well, THAT sucks.
Perhaps an ex-team member (TN1, not Team Ollie) is going to finally post v3, AKA Sanitized. It was ready to go over 3 months ago. Of course, they could have labelled the existing ESB verions as “deprecated” or something, instead of deleting them. But I can see not leaving them as-is – they’re a mess. Grindhouse, Deconstructed, Previews, Private Screening, etc.
You grew up on your VHS?
I threw up on my VHS – the time I played the Star Wars SE.
I’d like just a little more discussion of my obtuseness, please. Thanks.
See now, I think you’re acute as a button.
Much better. Unfortunately I cannot help you. :p
Ah, but you already have.

I know, right? What will I complain about now?
Well, there’s always the hated Markdown Syntax to bitch about 😉
That’s an excellent idea. Name it something catchy like "classictrilogy.com" or something like that.
Maybe original3starwarses.com?
Nah, I got one. SHIT! GeorgeLucasRapedMyChildhood.com is already taken!
Puggo, thanks for bumping this thread. That video is HYSTERICAL!
Yes, it’s really great that they are two types of projects that are in no real way competing with one another. And obviously the benefits from collaboration are enormous.
Very well put. Back in the day, I had the Cowclops LD rips, and checked in on the X0 Project daily. I never dreamed I’d have two awesome HD versions to choose from!
Great, and somehow this isn’t deemed important enough to be anounced before people start downloading. Now I have a mixed bag of sets… what is the best aproach now to solve this.
That’s an outage! I think Harmy owes you a refund of the full price that you paid him for the Jedi DeEd.
I’m definitely taking a break but not a long one - my optimistic estimate is that ESB v2.5 could be done in like a month.
Crap. My plumber’s accountant’s nephew’s birthday is in two weeks, and I wanted to give him a complete set of V2.5s. Maybe you could at least make a cake?
Interesting stuff on the 70mm. Did a little searching, and it only opened in 8 theaters in 70mm initially.

I was fortunate enough to see it in 70mm at the Paramus, NJ location my first time. It was stunning.
Can you despecialize this cake for me while you’re at it?
But can you leave in the candles that were added in the cake’s re-release? Because that’s how I first saw the cake.

Why do I keep seeing postings like this?
Who exactly IS this Mark Down fellow?
Has Mike given us his impressions of the Silver Screen edition?
I’d very much appreciate a link. Love the theatrical, and would enjoy watching it with my kids.
