ESB classic edition is still available via Giganews and should be for another couple of weeks. Don't know about other services, though. Segaflip posted it on October 18th.

Alright, just got the disc from absw. Best one of your transfers yet, Moth3r! Now that the circle is complete, so to speak, can we get all of the high res covers and disc labels that have been made? I would sure love to display your trilogy. I think the only ones I have now are the ESB 20MB bmp that was posted on absw and the 1.9MB jpg that came with the ANH torrent. I haven't seen anywhere to get any disc art, although I seem to remember those being in the works earlier in this thread.

Memorex media of any kind is absolute crap. I've never had any problems using Verbatim DVD+R DL media. They play fine even on my $49 Apex player.

I don't believe that PNG can handle CMYK. I could be wrong, but the option was not available in Photoshop 7. The official EditDroid artwork that was in Rik's last covers torrent contained both CMYK TIF and RGB JPG versions of the covers and labels. I just kept the format exactly the same to keep the quality at that EditDroid level.

And I agree with you, Karyudo, that people need to get away from distributing JPG artwork. Can they not see that it looks like crap? Oh well, I digress......

I've posted fixed disc art for the EditDroid trilogy to alt.binaries.starwars. When I say fixed, I mean I have gotten rid of the unnecessary white donut in each of the disc labels. So you can now have your discs printed full surface hub to hub! The post includes CMYK TIF and RGB JPG versions of all 3 films' discs. Enjoy!

I have run in to this problem before. On my JVC HR-S3901U SVHS VCR, I was able to fix it by turning the SUPERIMPOSE option to OFF in MAIN MENU -> FUNCTION -> SUPERIMPOSE -> OFF. This way, even if the video calibration kicks in, it won't put the warning in the video stream. Hopefully, there's something similar in your JVC, DJ.

Rowman's LD Extras disc was posted a while back (along with the 3 movies' supplemental discs) on absw. Unfortunately, none of these posts came with cover/disc art. So thanks AbsoluteDestiny for posting what you have. Also, Rik's covers are probably as close to "official" as you're going to get.

There's a reason some people don't use CCE... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$... It's incredibly expensive. And besides, there are actually people here that don't pirate software. I understand that it's your opinion, but stating it doesn't really serve any purpose here. If people like DJ's work (like me), fine.... if not, fine.... Slamming someone because they don't use CCE is like criticizing me for driving my Accord when I could easily go and steal that Ferrari over there. JMHO...

Amen, brother! I also use Unison on OS X and it works great. There are a couple of freeware apps that handle PAR and RAR files on the Mac nicely. There are links to them on Unison's website. I honestly have not fired up Azureus since going with the Unison/Giganews combo.

Yeah, DJ, the same thing happened when I tried to transfer my Faces VHS set. That prompted me to try and find out how to get around the Macrovision and found that this unit has received the most favorable reviews on videohelp.com. It's a little more expensive but is an actual TBC (time base corrector, I believe), something that the videohelp posters think is a necessity in doing any VHS transfer. I never got around to buying one because I discovered this great community and all the LD transfers. Good luck!

Just wanted to give everyone my take on this release..... Impressive... Most impressive!! I finally sat down and watched the whole thing yesterday morning. If you're going to watch a 2004 derivation, this is THE ONE! Ocpmovie's skill in editing is obvious to anyone who's watched any of his releases, especially Deleted Magic and SW Classic Edition. ESB CE is no different. In fact, I think it's better than SW CE. It really is seamless and a pure joy to watch. I'm honored that I was able to help with some source material for this project. Ocpmovie, if you need anything for ROTJ CE, you know who to contact. Bravo! I also enjoyed your short films. Thanks!
