You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about man.

That
Yep he is. The OT is a sequel to the PT, so there is barely anything original about it.
everything’s a remix
It just occurred to me that if Lucasfilm put out the OOT in 2020 it would be the second time they put it out on the current format the year after the conclusion of a main saga movie trilogy.
Would they also rehash that ?
Speaking of which, here’s a comparison between the TLJ teaser and some shots from TFA.
I’m pretty sure you can do the same with any movies (even with The smurfs and Fury Road).
“this Sith Lord sent by the Emperor”
Huh?
The deleted sequence shown at Celebration 2017.
Maybe they haven’t finished yet. They could be scanning all SW material to eventually release the OOT and a brand new SE (I would love to get “this Sith Lord sent by the Emperor” into a new/definitive cut of the movie). There is still hope.
From my point of view it might be better if you started your own edit based on Hal’s restructure to implement all these additional small changes. But in the end it’s Hal’s call of course 😃
I agree, but I still think it’s nice that there’s a place for all kinds of ideas in this thread, and then HAL can decide which ones work for his edit.
I’ll be using most of these ideas for my own edit which I’ll complete at some point after Restructured v2 is done.
You get me hyped. I would suggest you to check DigMod edit which has plenty of good ideas to give consistency to Finn.
I still need to watch R1 a second time to be sure if I really don’t like it or if I can change my mind. In any case, your edit seems very appropriate to deliver the real transition I was looking for between Episode III and Episode IV without losing time with boring characters escaped from a Resident Evil/Underworld flick and lame daddy/boyfriend/mentor/teenage issues (yep, R1 really is a Prequel movie era…). Your Hobbit edit was very fun and professional (albeit you may have cut a little bit too more here and there), so good luck with this one, I’ll be sure to get a copy of it when available 😃
There is something very poetic about that dream sequence, something… very Dune-esque. Very good call.
the list.

You’ll have to troll harder
Fink.
LOL
but I’d give it an 8 this time.

And with that said I still love the end scene. The terror on the Rebels faces is perfect.

I liked Jyn and Cassian a little more (mostly Cassian, as I already thought Jyn was pretty good).
LOL
I found the teaser trailer to be really fucking boring. It’s officially going at the bottom of my list for Most Anticipated 2017 Movies I Want to See.
Lol.
People who make judgements on movies based on trailers…lol.
Fuck you too, Frink. 😃
Watch it.
Maybe you should consider deleting Frink’s shitposts. Just saying.
Yep, direcly on my “Episode VII edit wishlist”. Now, I wonder if the same edit is needed for Finn’s first saber fight with the “traitor!” trooper. A simple trooper is no dark side user, so I would leave the theatrical version as it is for that part.

My friend who is a projectionist talked to the projectionist at Celebration for us:

Spoke to the projectionist at #SWCO and confirmed that these are the same 2K DCPs used for the OT Blu-rays. No 4K (except for Rogue One).
Did he say it was the OUT or the SE’s
these are the same 2K DCPs used for the OT Blu-rays.
(I think it’s clear it’s the 2011 SE)
😉
Would anyone have “fresh” dlc links for the bluray versions of TCW episodes 1-2-3 ? The ones I have are corrupted. Thanks !
I have been wanting to try recutting the duel between Kylo and Finn so that Kylo instantly goes on the offensive, and never gets hit by Finn, and the duel would basically become a one sided ass beating that gets handed to Finn like you would logically expect it to be. I’m relatively pleased with the result and am curious if you guys find it effective at all:
Very good. It makes sense. Even if Ren is wounded I’ve never bought that Finn could be good enough with a lightaber to hurt a long time force user.
Really? Looked damn good in 70mm IMAX to me. 😉
35mm 3D 😦 (this is a running gag 😃)
They digitally cut the original actors out of the 1976 footage, and comped them into new cockpit sets to begin with.
I’ve watched the movie only once, so I didn’t watch the cockpit, just the actors, who were “waxy”.
But the point it “noboby noticing the use of 1976 footage in a 2016 blockbuster”, I just say that I noticed it and it felt wrong to my eyes.
