Any idea when this is due to come out? The others hit the 30th anniversary dates, didn't they?

Thank YOU for all the hard work! I look forward to seeing the final product.
The artwork dimensions should still be the same though.
Saw this on Blu-Ray.com too. What do you mean "restored" the Alvin art?
All right, my finished covers based on Tom Whalen's coverart.
Because I'm a member of a cover site elsewhere I can't post them here and I won't send the links. You can get them at euphoricfx.org (free registration).
Here's the previews:
Oops, double post.
No, that was Vincent Smalls over in the Revisited thread, but using the same (well, mostly) Whalen art. I tweaked the posters for mine.
I did do a custom label for Revisited, but I've since yanked the Flickr image.
The biggest problem with the Whalen set is that the first 2 posters are available in high res, but not the third one.

Okay! I think I'm done with the set, though I'm not sure which ROTJ I like better.
and the set:
Definitely want to save these on my HD if anyone ever had them...
Hah, these are covers I was working on. I will have to finish them up--hearing about the changes and canceling my order so dispirited me that I haven't looked at them in awhile. I'll work on finishing them up in the next week or two I think.

Personally, I hate dvd/bluray menus and find them (particularly the transitions) a waste of time.
But these are pretty menus, so good job menu-guys.
Yeah, the longer the menu lasts, the more annoyed I am.
More remastered? I'd like to see (well, hear) them too, if the PMs are going out.
Is Thorin a Klingon?
Don't really like this, but I'm not surprised. I'll still see the movie(s), I'm sure.
Your best bet for the Whalen ROTJ is probably to try to vector it yourself.
As for his Raiders--are you maybe thinking of the Eric Tan posters?
I'm looking for a high-resolution (at least 1700 px tall) version of Tom Whalen's Return of the Jedi print:

Okay, I found it and uploaded it to imageshack.
It is a bit small. I think it might have been either comic art or lunch box art, either of which I never collected much. It would make a cool DVD cover, knowing how lacking ROTJ is for art.
This was actually a Coca Cola giveaway by artist Jack Kirby. I have a huge version of it which I can upload if people are still interested.
Do you mean remastered ANH and ROTJ? I don't think anyone's done them.
EDIT:
Doh, nevermind.
I just posted to say "thank you" for all the hard work, and then to offer a very slight criticism, in that the third disc of the set, the "1980 album" edition is not really the 1980 album; the tracks aren't in the right order (they follow the movie order, not the soundtrack order), and a few are different lengths and names. I re-ordered the set and did a bit of tweaking (nothing fancy, just using audacity) to make it more in line with the original recording.
However, I wouldn't have been able to do even THAT without ABC's hard work.
I can post it if people are interested in that. Doesn't really need its own thread.
EDIT: GAH, nevermind, wrong thread.
Just an FYI: the phrase is "For all intents and purposes," not "for all intensive purposes."

Just face it - a lot of people prefer Ep 1 to Ep 2 or 3.
That's just bizarre beyond words, but it appears to be true.
Episode one is watchable?
Clearly we live in different universes.
I'm really, really shocked to hear people put TPM as their "favorite." It's an awful, AWFUL movie.
That said, things I like about it:
Liam Neeson
okay, moving on
I liked Christopher Lee's character in AOTC. I liked the clones/gunships/battle. It wasn't tactically very sound, but it was neat. Like a big videogame. I liked the bugs, especially the king bug's voice. Um...hm. I liked the Jango/Kenobi scene on Kamino, as others have said.
ROTS:
I liked Palpatine's office. I thought the music was the best of the prequels; his "seduction" of Anakin at the opera was good. Uh...liked seeing the Tantive IV interiors again, that felt really cool. Crispy Anakin was neat. Oh, and the fall of the Jedi + the music there was brilliant, I think. Gave me chills.
So yeah, they ascend in order of watchability from 1-3. 1 is just...it's fucking awful. There's no other way to put it.
I sometimes prefer the ANH Radio version to the film version as well. Which isn't to say I don't love the ANH film version--it's my favorite movie ever. I just really love Daley's Star Wars. He is the only person besides Harrison Ford to get Han Solo right.
I don't actually recall the last time I saw ROTS, but I didn't hate it when I saw it in theaters.
Yeah, I'm not really interested in these. I've not seen a modern 3D movie in theaters or at home, though, so maybe that's why I don't give a shit.
Han has blue eyes now? Guess he's a melange-addict.
