I really hope you're getting the fully dramatized "We Don't Do Weddings: The Band's Tale" from the Cantina stories book. Had that tape a while ago and have no idea where it is now...

Well actually I am...the full list of what i'm getting is here:

I'm thinking that the versions of ANH he listed are the Radio Play ones, but i'm not sure..

Well actually several great folks have come forward with links to a very rare edition of the Last Command that was unabridged, whereas I was merely looking for the abridged with sound effects and the like. However, i've since made a deal through eBay that SHOULD give me a total of 95 Star Wars audiobooks when it comes in...which will hopefully be sometime this week; i'll be sure to post back when that comes through.

If it does, i'll try to upp every one of them, but I fully expect it to be in excess of 9 gigabytes as they are being shipped on thre DVD-Rs...

Wasn’t sure where to put this but i’m planning on uploading my entire collection of Star Wars Audiobooks to MySpleen pretty soon, except I have one slight snag: Namely i’m missing the entire last book of the Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn entitled The Last Command…

I really really want to find a copy of this on mp3 to add to my collection before I upload it to MySpleen; if anyone has a copy of it/or can make one, i’d be enourmously indebted. The only reason I don’t have it is due to the cd I had it stored on now can’t be read now due to dirt/whatever. If I can manage to obtain it in mp3 format, i’ll be uploading the following as a 3.7 gig bundle to MySpleen shortly thereafter:

Star Wars:

Shadows of the Empire
The Truce at Bakura
The Courtship of Princess Leia
Children of the Jedi
Darksaber
The Crystal Star
The New Rebellion
Planet of Twilight
The Thrawn Trilogy - Complete if I can obtain The Last Command
The Jedi Academy Trilogy - (Jedi Search, Dark Apprentice, Champions of the Force)
The Corellian Trilogy - (Ambush at Corellia, Assault at Selonia, Showdown at Centerpoint)
The Black Fleet Crisis - (Before the Storm, Shield of Lies, Tyrant’s Test)
The Hand of Thrawn - (Specter of the Past, Vision of the Future)
The Han Solo Trilogy - (The Paradise Snare, The Hutt Gambit, Rebel Dawn)
The Bounty Hunter Trilogy - (The Mandalorian Armor, Slave Ship, Hard Merchandise)
& The Crimson Empire

(Also anyone that has anything else to contribute besides the Last Command, such as any of the Tales from… series, the X-Wing Series, Dark Empire, or just anything non-pre-wank-quel related, feel free to PM me as well…)

Star Wars: Classic Edition by Ocpmovie (Released)
Time
Ocp,

Awesome, awesome, awesome job...i'm impressed to the point of doubling over. Just watched it tonight with my little sister (Who hadn't seen it to this point - she's 10) & my parents and even grandparents; what a fabulous time. A 100' projection does it such justice...

I'll stop befoe I go on drooling, but seriously it was just as you said: the only copy of Star Wars one will need. For sure.

(Untill the X0 project at least... )

Thanks again for all your hard work!

BTW, my version of Star Wars definitely does a better take on Boba Fett. Boba and Jango were brothers along with a whole host of Mandalorian Warriors who play a very integral part in the Clone Wars (which by the way involves the Separatists having a droid army AND a clone army against the Republic whose armies are made up of the warriors of its various worlds like Wookiees, Itorians, Mon Calamari, etc, etc). Through the course of the war, all of the Mandalorians are killed, but take more than a few Jedi with them. Jango is killed leaving Boba as the last Mandalorian, who aids Darth Vader in hunting the last of the Jedi. Once the Jedi are all destroyed, there's really nothing Boba can do but become a bounty hunter....who aids the Empire sometimes.

Why all the talk about Boba & wanting to know more? Just go read the books as they deal with Fett quite well - Tales of the Bounty Hunters & Book I of the The Bounty Hunter Wars, his history is fleshed out and it's totally fitting; not to mention badass. Unlike Lucas's dumb 'hey-i'm-a-little-bounty-hunter-clone; here-is-my-helmet-there is-my dad' ensemble BS, the books are actually fitting. Not to mention that some of the other bounty hunters like Dengar, 4-Lom, etc. are also expanded upon. If one reads those I don't see why anyone would feel the need to try & invent anything about him, unless one is a slave to LucAss & his vision through the prewankquels and thus not rececptive to the EU.

The "Dr. Gonzo" Trilogy DVD Info and Feedback Thread (Released)
Time
Am new to this forum - have read all your posts. Good work people! Unfortunately don't have the technology to be able to download and burn copies of the films - can someone tell me how to get the DVDs? Am good for all costs. First movie I ever saw was Star Wars (apparently I hid under the seat for the first bit). Am hanging out to see the films again as close as they can be to the theatrical release. Can someone help out?

First off, let me welcome you. Dig the name by the way.

Firstly you should do one thing: go to your profile page & check to make sure your Private Messages are turned to on.
Secondly, after that, get in touch with Rikter on the PM or his e-mail Rikter_Blaksvn at yahoo.com & he'll be able to help you out for sure.

Who thinks that George Lucas will release the OOT?
Time
Q]I hate to say it but most people probably didnt even notice there were changes.

Thats the biggest travesty thats occured besides the screwing of the fans is that now there are going to be whole generations of people who will grow up not knowing that Han is a badass because he indeed shot first...

Speaking of new formats like Blu-ray and such, how about old ones like CED? I have ROTJ on CED but have never had a player...any thoughts on it? I've heard that of course it pales in contrast to Laserdisc, but anyone know by how much in quality?

and the mystery that is Fett, guess we'll never know

Actually, and this was another reason that stuck out for me with regards to Lucas's revisionism, some of the books deal with Fett quite well - i.e. - the Bounty Hunter Trilogy. His history is fleshed out and it's totally fitting; not to mention badass. Unlike Lucas's dumb 'hey-i'm-a-little-bounty-hunter-clone; here-is-my-helmet-there is-my dad' ensemble BS, the books are actually fitting.
Yet another reason why I ignore the prequels entirely; the books/expanded universe vision of Star Wars is just so much more complex & grandiose. Not to mention Gungan-free.

DVD: Return of the Ewok and Other Little Films (Released)
Time
Well I figured i'd lump this question in here as this thread deals with all obscurities for the most part, but in regards to the Holiday Special I came across this statement lately:

"Along with the TV special, the 1980 CHRISTMAS IN THE STARS-THE STAR WARS CHRISTMAS ALBUM is not to be missed. Put together by Meco(of the Star Wars Disco hit fame) featured R2D2 and Anthony Daniels as 3-CPO and an early career vocal by Jon Bongiovi,it's a hoot on a near equal scale of the TV special("What Do You Get a Wookie for Christmas When He Already Has a Comb?"-priceless). It was originally released on Robert Stigwood's RSO label(of GREASE and SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER fame)and was rereleased on CD in the '90s on Rhino(though currently out of print)."

Anyone own or heard about this at all? A rip of this I think would be an awesome bonus to any DVD version of the HS...
