So today on a whim & while I was feeling inspired, I decided to go and post in a random messageboard the following:

Anyone want to get a free copy of the original Star Wars trilogy on DVD...?
IE - The original non-fucked-with primo shit in which Han Solo blew that motherfucker Greedo away without so much as a second thought.

Anyhow, several people responded, 1 wanting it badly & the other wondering why I was doing such a non-profit act.
The guy who wanted it though, I absolutely made his day. Some highlights:

Anyways, this is a little fun & terribly rewarding venture (especially as it reaches the fan who might not have ever thought there was anything they could do)

From my experiance today, i've decided to start up full-time (going to random forums & offering the trilogy for free) on at least a weekly basis...so if anyone else has a story like this/does the same, do post back here so that the rest of us can see how the truth is getting out.

Recently i’ve transfered colleges and now am part of a university with a truly wonderous media library (4500 dvd, 600 LD - They literally craploads of Criterion LDs)
Anyhow, i’ve set myself on a mission to see if I can’t persuade the head librarian of the place to offer the original trilogy alongside the george lucas special editions. As they have the Definitive Collection on LD, i’ve figured my best bet is to offer the TR47 version to them as I can point out that they already have the LDs; so why not have them on DVD?

However, as i’m a new student here i’m trying to first do them a favor before I broach the subject of the Trilogy with them. They have quite a few DVD players that haven’t been made reigon-free yet, so I thought that if I could find some codes for them i’d easliy get my foot in the door.

Unfortunetly, i’ve had no luck finding any codes for the models that they have, so I thought I might ask if anyone here might be able to help in any way…

The models i’m looking for are:

Pioneer DV-270
Sanyo DV-260 (s)
GE DGE 100N
GE 1101P

Any help would be awesome.

Have you gotten around to posting these yet? and if so where at and under what name? I'm not seeing them on demonoid or myspleen.

Not quite yet.

I'm still going through the last bit of editing and then i'll upload.
However, i'm going back to college next week so if I don't get it posted this week, it will be for sure sometime next week after I move in.

The offical name for it will be: 'Practically Every Star Wars Audiobook Ever Made'
And it will probably be up at demonoid first.

It just seems easier to send 3 discs at once to people rather than 1 at a time.

Unless you put it place a "Pay-It-Forward" system with every release; i.e. - mark two/three people as originators on whichever release you have at the time and then just make sure you use this thread here to direct anyone else interested to them as distributers. Those 3 distributing 3 each to those could also "Pay-It-Forward" with three as well.
I could theoretically see your releases moving very quickly like that.

A thought.

I'm thinking that maybe I'll include it as a CD image as a bonus on a future release. How does that sound?

Great I suppose...as long as it's out there. However i'm still looking for a copy for my own use in a musical Star Wars compilation torrent that i'm planning on doing sometime after I release my audiobook one..

I really hope you're getting the fully dramatized "We Don't Do Weddings: The Band's Tale" from the Cantina stories book. Had that tape a while ago and have no idea where it is now...

I am.

I've recieved my copy of the books this week and am just finishing up getting them sorted out & organized correctly; they were a MESS!
Anyway the final end result will be just about ever Star Wars related audio book ever made.
(No prequel books will be included however, as i'm only going for things related to the Expanded Universe essentially)

The only exception will be that I might not include the New Jedi Order since I believe they are already up & since i'm not a fan of them.
Anyhow it's going to be another day or so till I up them: any requests as to which site I should up them to start with? (MySpleen, Demonoid.com, etc..)


Two final notes:
#1 - The unabridged version of the Thrawn Trilogy will not be included. Unless, Sessler wants to send me a copy of the unabridged for the add, but if that happens the project will be pushed back for several weeks as i'm off to college agian next week.
#2 - All books will come absolutely iPod ready.

Hey everyone,

Prequel hater here; I just recently became aware of ADigitalMan's edits of the first two prequels, and though my personal vision of SW doesn't include them, i'd still be very much interested in seeing how they might have been good.

So then, at any rate, if there is anyone still in the "Pay-It-Forward" system that could send me just EPS I & II of this set i'd be greatly obliged. My e-mail is hoichitheearless AT gmail DOT com

I do have a stand alone dvd-burner that i'd be more than willing to help "Pay-It-Forward".


( WISHING: And a brief note in consideration: If someone has the first two and might happen to have either the SW Holiday Special/Deleted Magic that one might consider throwing in as a way to make it somewhat closer to five discs, i'd be estatic. )

Ah yes! I couldn't remember who it was who sent it....unfortunetely when I got it I accidentally destroyed it. There was a piece of tape sticking to the top of the cd and so when I got, I it naturally pulled it off; and with it somehow some of the actual data.

So i'm still without at this point....and I haven't seen any torrents with it either.
