I’m working on integrating the imax scenes into a video copy of The Force Awakens, but I need help on getting the proper settings for it to look like the original source, because everytime I encode it the grain looks fine until I get to the black scenes were all dark shadows and such become super pixelated… The editing software I’m working with is Adobe Premiere Elements 10
This is a bit of an unrelated question, but it is pertained to BD-Rebuilder. Is it possible with the program to replace the main video, but keep the menus and everything else in tact?
😢😥
Wait, you recorded it? If so, shoot me a pm, if not, shoot one all the same 😉
That sounds great. The only problem is I do not have a capture card and prefer not to buy software. Do you have any suggestions for capturing it? I have a desktop pc with windows 10.
For those who want to see screencaps of the french bluray here they are. From knifethrower of bluray.com
The severely underrated film by Kevin Spacey has not gotten a proper release on bluray in the states, even though it has in France, somehow… Anyway, my plan is to get the french bluray of the film and despecialize it. Why? Because there are a couple of significant errors with the French bluray, there are French subtitles burned into each song section which makes no sense at all. The other issue that should be noted is that the DTS track is DTS-HR not DTS-HD MA, technically classifying it as lossy audio, but that issue will be figured out in the future. The main game paln is with the picture. What I plan to do to fix that is photoshopping each frame and replace the subtitles with the dvd upscaled to 1080p (similarly to the techniques used in the Amadeus theatrical restoration). The dvd is in pretty tip top shape so it should not be too much of an issue. If color or other things become too much of an issue, I’ll use Dr Dre’s color correction tool to tweek it. After all that, I’ll release the video part (mkv most likely around 20GB & possibly a smaller version around 10GB) & getting around to creating a proper English bluray!!!
Pretty dope yo 😀
One other interesting thing to note. The bottom corners of the imax screen had a bit of a red reflection / tint thingy which was strange. I think what might be best is to find a screener of the film beforehand just to make sure the colors are different to the bluray. It could also be upcoming changes they are planning to make to the blurays because these movies were re released in imax to promote Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them.
It did have higher color saturation. In Imax there was no taller aspect ratio (or shift). I’m pretty sure it is just the dmr version and not the special Imax version. The picture quality was alright. It was 1080p on an imax screen so things went from detailed to a tad blurry. You could see light grain, but it was hard to notice.
I want to note this before I forget. I saw Deathly Hallows in Imax a couple hours ago, and I have to say, they changed the colors on the bluray. The movie has a very distinct contast and has a mostly red tint to everything to the extent were Ron’s shirt looks like it was sharpied on. The fire in some scenes is also more red than yellow making it a very distnct pumpkinish orange. The main colors that really stand out are reds, oranges, yellows, greens, and some lightish blues. I’m not sure if this is becuse it has aged, but it seemed like a change to the bluray. Justing putting it on record.
Thank you so much of your words of support. I am very happy that you enjoyed it. I plan on uploading the full quality version once I figure out how to transition the abyss scene. I figured it might come up, because it was one of the harder scenes to change, that and the premiere was being strange with fades for video…
Well, with the editing software I use, the best I could do was put in a siren sound effect. Perhaps someone who knows more on rotoscoping or recoloring would be better to ask. For now, the sound will do. I finally figured out how to get the film to upload to vimeo.

Ok, If there is anyone out there who knows how to upload a torrent on myspleen successfully, I need some help…
Super close to being done, need to add one more sound effect, render it, and if it seems great, it will be up on myspleen today!
So, I have remixed the order of events so that everything doesn’t feel as separate. I also managed to make it seem like Barbara is getting too invested in the case which is why Batman dismisses her. I am currently rendering a first draft to see if it works or not. If it looks pretty damn good, I’ll send it to the spleen, if not, well, I’ll keep fine tuning it…
So after reading numerous articles on the mixed reception of The Killing Joke and having the chance of watching it last night, I thought it might be best for a fan edit treatment of The KIlling Joke.
My thought is that the first 20 minutes need to be for the most part removed, but keep some of it in. This is only to keep the filmmaker’s original intent of humanizing Batgirl before all the major story stuff happens.
I was also thinking of keeping the opening shot, but cutting it before Batgirl comes into the frame and transition it to the sidewalk with rain dripping down.
I’m still thinking of other possible edits for the film and would appreciate any feedback on the project.
Finished all of the covers! I am planning on uploading them to Customaniacs.org. I am also in the midst of purchasing Adobe Encore CS6 with intentions to create full Blurays for this set!!! PM me if you would like to take a look or download the covers…
Here is a sneak peek at what is to come with my new cover art (new fonts, logos, etc)…
There may be more tinkering with Phantom Menace, but in my book it is near 98% complete…
I did a whole bunch of tinkering to make it look more professional and this was the end result. I decided that the fate of the second style of cover is to be the main box cover. There is still more editing to be done (especially with Attack of the Clones ironically enough), and once again would like to have your input on what to improve on… Also huge thanks to KK650’s and Harmy’s work for inspiring me to push through with these designs!!! 😃
That’s what I have so far. They are the two different styles I’m going with for the whole trilogy. Episode 3 is done, but Episode 2 just needs the title and a few adjustments. I think it looks good as is (aside from Episode 2), but I would appreciate feedback or criticism on them…
Hi KK650, I am attempting to make some disc art for your regrained prequels and was wondering if you had a logo in mind for yourself? Also to anyone out there who has them, I need a black and white 2000 x 633 logo of Attack of the Clones, that is the only two things I need to complete them…
