The shadow of the snowspeeder makes no sense either btw.
It's in front of the walker, yet its shadow is behind it.

If the sunlight is coming from a 45% angle, the shadow would make sense.

Umm...no it woudn't. The shadow of the speeder should be near the bottom (of this particular frame), 'under' the shadow of the AT-AT...no matter what the angle of the sunlight is.

It could probably be fixed semi-easily.

You're right: even at 45%, with the snowspeeder UNDER the AT-AT, the AT-ATs body shadow would cover overtop any shadow the snowspeeder would produce.  I say either extend the AT-AT's shadow onto the snow dune the SS shadow is on, or lower the SS shadow onto the ground with the AT-AT shadow (so it would disappear whenever the SS shadow connected with the AT-AT shadow).  The SS shadow would also be flatter due to the angle of the sunlight.

It would be easiest to change the shadow of the speeder, due to its size, and simple shape. I'm sure Ady can make the shadows 'dissappear' properly, when needed.

EDIT: Just rewatched that part, and I think the speeder's shadow can be removed completely without a problem. There are lots of places where shadows are absent, anyway...unless all that will be fixed ;)

I think this would be preferred for both binoc shots, though I would change the red numbers on the top and bottom middle sections to be more readable - maybe change the left and right sides to be more legible too...

I do, however, agree with this.

...look at the end scene when they are looking at the Death Star. he folds his arms. Vader in the OT would never have done that.

Well, just because he wouldn't do something in the OT doesn't mean he never did it earlier in his life.

But, anyway...I just wish they would have shown Vader doing more - After all the time they put into remaking the suit, you'd think they would've done more with it. Such a waste. :(

4.) When Vader tells the Emperor Luke is on Endor with the revels the Emperor says it's strange he hadn't sensed him.  Yet a few lines later he tells Vader to go down and wait for Luke because he will go to him.  He knows this because he'd foreseen it.  It's always seemed like a contradiction to me.  One of these lines needs to be removed.

To me, the contradiction is meant to show us that the Emporer isn't all-knowing, and that he's starting to make things up as he goes along.

Adywan, .... When you get to ROTJ revisited, you need to add a planet in the backround of Endore so Endore is actually a moon.

Does a 'moon' really need to be orbiting a planet? I always thought that it was just considered a moon due to it's size...or maybe they have different ideas when it comes to sizes, and descriptions of planetary bodies.

I have a P4 2.8 processor, Radeon Mobile 9000 card, and I have a smooth playback most of the time, only one scene very very slightly jerky. Using Core AVC decoder and Media Player Clasic. CPU load goes from 50% - 100%, but mainly around 80%-90%.

I have a P4 3.0Ghz processor, with a Radeon 9200, and I use KMPlayer. It runs silky smooth, and my CPU load is about 40%.

As for Ackbar photoshopped to yell "It's a trap." In the real scene, doesn't Luke walk into the same door that Leia and Lando do? So why do they end up in different places. I don't know if this is a goof, it's just something that's always confused me.

Yes, he does. However, it's completely possible that he just happened to walk to a different area, or somehting. (We never really see much of that room/hallway).

--The fleet scene with the reveal of the Executor could be over the same planet you used with the Death Star reveal.
--New shots of the Falcon and TIES in the asteroids?
--Shots of Luke's X-wing entering and exiting hyperspace (especially after he says "we're not regrouping with the others" etc etc)
--Adding a planet to the scenes with the rebel fleet at the end of the movie (Sullust, maybe?)
--Adding some of those hot-air balloon thingys and tibanna gas refineries to the initial far-away reveal of Cloud City with approaching Falcon
--Improvising the sunrise-from-space effects when you see the Falcon leaving Bespin being chased by TIEs
--Shots of the X-Wing inside the Dagobah atmosphere (from outside)
--I'd sure like to see those Tauntauns running a bit faster; the stop-motion makes it all look like big steps, slow speed.
--Maybe you should test out animating CGI characters to replace the stop-motion tauntaun shots.... just a concept, lol. Could maybe prepare you for ROTJ (especially if you will want to add extra Ewoks there lol)

Could you take these into consideration?

My simple, yet totally whiney thoughts:

--New shots of the Falcon and TIES in the asteroids?
----> Sounds nice

--Shots of Luke's X-wing entering and exiting hyperspace...
----> Do we really need that?

--Adding a planet to the scenes with the rebel fleet at the end of the movie...
----> That would retract from the sad-lonely feeling of the scene.

--Adding some of those hot-air balloon thingys and tibanna gas refineries to the initial far-away reveal of Cloud City...
----> lol...that was a joke...right?

--Improve the sunrise-from-space effects when you see the Falcon leaving Bespin being chased by TIEs
----> Why? Does it bother you THAT much?

--Shots of the X-Wing inside the Dagobah atmosphere (from outside)
----> That would ruin the 'reveal', and the mystery of Dagobah

--I'd sure like to see those Tauntauns running a bit faster; the stop-motion makes it all look like big steps, slow speed.
----> Also sounds nice.

--Maybe you should test out animating CGI characters to replace the stop-motion tauntaun shots.... just a concept, lol. Could maybe prepare you for ROTJ (especially if you will want to add extra Ewoks there lol)
----> I think there are already enough Ewoks in ROTJ.

Unfortunately, I have no need for the PAL version, so I haven't downloaded it. I haven't seen it availible as a torrent anywhere yet, which I find really strange, as the NTSC version was torrented REALLY quickly.

Sorry that I can't help you (or others) with it.

How much are DVD-9 discs to buy? Peace......

DVD-DL discs are a tiny bit pricey...sort of. I bought a bulk pack of DVD-DL discs a while ago (Memorex...I forget how many), and they cost roughly $2 each.

I don't get the confusion over the shield generator on Hoth. The AT-ATs didn't have to contend with it because the shield exists ABOVE the Rebel base only, not at ground level. The starwars.com databank entry is pretty clear about it:

Ground-based installations use immense projectors to generate a deflector shield, like the one that protected the Rebel base on Hoth from orbital bombardment. This shield worked in both directions, however, and had to be lowered momentarily to allow the launching of evacuation ships. During the Battle of Hoth, Imperial ground craft landed beyond the shield perimeter, and marched over land to destroy the generators powering the shield.

Given this, I think any addition of a field effect for the walkers to go through would be not only unecessary, but just plain a bad idea. THERE'S NO SHIELD AT GROUND LEVEL...

I'll start by saying that I agree with your point 100%. However, I must point out that the quote from the databank does not explicitly state that the shield doesn't go to the ground. The shield is most likely at its weakest at the extreme edges, meaning that vehicles and people can sneak in via the edge of the shield, thus explaining why it had to be shut down before Darth Vader could land near the rebel base.

I agree.

I also agree.

ditto dude.

I gathered that my Sig was unpopular....so I ditched it until I find something less 'porny'.
