How did you originally find this site?
Time

Looking for Harmy’s Despecialized Editions some 4-5 years ago I stumbled across this place several times and because my knowledge of English at the time was pretty limited compared to where it’s at now, I kept thinking this site would have download links. Eventually I realized that that was not the case and I got the DE because of Facebook and never came back here. Well, until HelloGreedo’s video on ESB:R, which led me to FE.org. There I found out about darthrush’s RotJ and came here because of it. Eventually I stuck around.

This was 5 months ago mind you.

Guys what the heck is this Pennsylvania mess?? What is the GOP even thinking??

Are you talking about the redistricting?

I am. I know the SC denial happened yesterday, but I just looked more deeply into it and I think that it’s totally pushing it for the GOP. From what I’ve read and heard so far it’s a bit of a common practice, but still. It was not only obvious but it was a bit ridiculous. Maybe it’s more ridiculous to me because I’m not used to it, but I was a bit surprised.

New Star Wars films to be produced and written by D. Benioff & D.B. Weiss (Cancelled)
Time

Well, I only got really really really excited for TFA, RO and TLJ literally hours before leaving for the theater on opening night. But I got so excited I couldn’t even sit down. I walked a total of 6 miles inside the kitchen on the afternoon before TFA’s opening. And I think the same will happen for the next Star Wars movies, just like it did for RO and TLJ.

I never got that excited for superhero movies after The Dark Knight Rises anyway so I guess there’s that. Up until 2016 I’d still go opening night for superhero movies just because I enjoy opening nights, but not because I was excited for the movie itself.

Star Wars is still in a league of its own for me, and this still hasn’t changed. I really hope it doesn’t change at all. But we’ll see.

Some posts have been deleted - they brought nothing to the topic at hand and derailed the thread. Just more repeated negativity and past petty bickering.

Mala - You have been asked before to reign this negative thread-crapping in. Consider this a last warning.

Frink - Let the mods know if you see something like this and we will deal with it. Do not accuse others of being trolls.

Collipso - Sorry your thread got trashed mate. I’ve edited the OP for you to include more info as Tobar quoted.

Everyone else - Apologies for the temp-locking of the thread (and also to those who may have had their previous posts referring to the above ‘conversation’ deleted).

If anyone has any issues on this feel free to PM me.

Back on topic…

Thank you jason. It happens sometimes. Thanks for editing the OP too. 😃

Here’s the official announcement:

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are going from Winterfell to a galaxy far, far away.

It was announced today that Benioff and Weiss, creators of the smash-hit, Emmy Award-winning television series Game of Thrones, will write and produce a new series of Star Wars films.

These new films will be separate from both the episodic Skywalker saga and the recently-announced trilogy being developed by Rian Johnson, writer-director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

“David and Dan are some of the best storytellers working today,” said Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm. “Their command of complex characters, depth of story and richness of mythology will break new ground and boldly push Star Wars in ways I find incredibly exciting.”

“In the summer of 1977 we traveled to a galaxy far, far away, and we’ve been dreaming of it ever since,” Benioff and Weiss said in a joint statement. “We are honored by the opportunity, a little terrified by the responsibility, and so excited to get started as soon as the final season of Game of Thrones is complete.”

No release dates have been set for the new films, and there have (thankfully) been no sightings of White Walkers around Lucasfilm.

Thanks, I’ll update the OP.

Well, it’s not as if we didn’t know more Star Wars movies were on the way. I quite like Game of Thrones, so I am excited. I’ve always wanted some different stories in Star Wars separate from the main Saga, which in my view was complete after Return of the Jedi. So yeah, I’m glad it’s on their hands, just like I’m glad there’s a new trilogy on Rian’s.

Edit: please don’t read “I hate the ST” because as a matter o fact I quite like it, even if I’m not its biggest fan.
