Does anyone know of any ESB documentaries (OTHER than SPFX) that would have aired on North American television in 1980 or 1981?

I have memories of watching a program, always thought it was the SPFX special, but after reviewing that again, it is not.

Any ideas?

The only other programs that it could be that I can think of would be From Star Wars to Jedi:The Making of a Saga. It isn't from 1980, but from several years later. I think there might be a bit about ESB aired during the segments shown during the '84 showing of Star Wars on network TV.

It is definately not From SW to Jedi. And it was before Jedi came out so pre '83. This is driving me crazy. I remember a specific scene showing how they filmed the first AT-AT being taken down using a four foot model. I don't remember seeing that in SPFX.

Also featured on RowMan's ESB bonus disc. But I don't think the clip 20thC Mark refers to is in there. Is it in one of the DefCol extras?

Anyone know the name of the ESB behind the scenes show with Mark Hamill and R2-D2 set in a movie theatre??? I'd love to see that again...

Clapperboord only aired on British TV and featured interviews with Anthony Daniels, David Prowse, and special effects guy Brian Johnson. A very dry program, but it has some behind-the-scenes footage that I had never seen before.

R2 and Mark Hamill in a theatre is in SP FX: The Empire Strikes Back.

Remember clapperboard but not the Anthony Daniels one... Anyone in UK remember Free Time with Tommy Boyd?? Had a kid on once with shit-loads of Star Wars toys - even had gthe Dagobah swamp playset - could never find that as a kid. Little Bastard!
