(the last two on this list assume that you’ve been invited to GL’s private screening room)

I mean if you need the prequels in there you could do the machete order with prequel fanedits.

Dude, aside from the fact that you shouldn’t talk about piracy here, TFA is going to be on iTunes in something like two and a half weeks. Watching a legit home video of TFA instead of a crappy cam should be enough incentive to just wait it out a little while longer.

The proper viewing order for you is:

ANH
TESB
ROTJ
Wait for a few weeks until you can legally obtain TFA
TFA

You could do the waiting before the full marathon even begins and watch them in order that way, but seriously, don’t pirate it.

Also, you can slap the PT in there somewhere if you like those or any of the fanedits.

My Wookiee went to Hkazshyyyk to celebrate Life Day and all I got was this lousy user signature.

If you really need to see TFA so soon, you can probably find a theater that’s still playing it relatively easily.

You’re right. I live in Florida and multiple theaters are still showing it multiple times a day. Am probably going to have my 5th viewing this weekend. Would be a great excuse to avoid spending the entirety of the weekend with Family.

I mean, if you have to include the prequels you might as well do it machete order:
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
Return of the Jedi

You can give or take The Phantom Menace but it doesn’t really contribute much to the overall story. But the prequels as a whole really aren’t worth it.

Don’t watch the prequels at all. I honestly don’t know why people feel the need to include them. Even the best edits can’t add anything to them that’s needed to make them better, and can’t remove everything that’s bad, they can only rearrange stuff, and they’ll always be crap. The best part about it, is that they truthfully don’t need to exist. The story starts in Star Wars, and is rightfully continued in The Empire Strikes Back, and that continuation is concluded well (kind of) in Return of the Jedi. Just stick with those, because the prequels don’t add anything to the story, they just take away.

EDIT: Okay, I just thought about my statement that edits can’t add to the film, and that’s not really true, but the point I was making is that anything any fan-editor can do to any of the prequels can’t save them from their underlying disease. They were too far gone already when George started writing (which for ROTS was partway through shooting and that makes it much worse).

THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.

DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.

Machete Order with prequel edits (l8rwtr or anti-cheese edit imo).

Just watch Machete order: 4, 5, 2, 3, 6, 7. Watch the theatrical prequels and make up your own mind what you think of them. Episode 1 isn’t necessary.

Not enough people read the EU.

Don’t forget to be watching the theatrical versions of SW ESB and ROTJ. I don’t think that’s been brought up yet.

He said “full-on marathon.” He also mentioned release date, which only is relevant if you include the prequels. That is why I felt the need to include them.
