This should probably be retitled as the spoilers thread if we’re going to post stuff like spy photos here.

Just sayin’

As long as Han rides around in the GFFA eqivalent of a Black '55 Chevy with a skull hanging from the mirror. 😉

Harrison joked in the original making of Star Wars doc that he hoped Bob Falfa and Han weren’t related.

Well considering the landspeeder they designed for Rogue One Galen prologue that he was meant to be repairing (he was meant to appear out from underneath it as his introduction) never appeared in the film at all I would not worry about it at this point.

Or a new thread for spoilers created.

It’s the missing panels on that side that give it a book appearance from that angle…

I do hope the wheels are going to be digitally erased. We haven’t seen too many wheeled vehicles in the SW universe before now.

It never even occurred to me until now that they might not be. Good god, they’d better be.

So correct me if my memory is incorrect, but Han and Dengar had a thing that went wrong during racing of some kind right? Is this backstory long dead after however many cartoon shows?

That backstory is considered defunct until/unless some nuEU monkey decides to recanonize it.

Here’s a photo of the book speeder with the wheels photoshopped out, for a better idea of what it’ll look like on screen.

So it’s essentially a pretty normal-looking speeder with some pieces missing. That actually seems quite fitting for Han. I’m sure he’s done some “special modifications” to it, hence why the machinery is exposed.

I’m happy that they seem to be going for practical racing rather than just green-screen stuff.

Not very surprising since Lucasfilm is using the same production approach that was used for I to VII and Rogue One.

Looks like he’s been trying to avoid any Imperial entanglements for quite a while.

The Empire has Zamboni technology!? We’re doomed!

For those of you who don’t know what a Zamboni is…

The Empire kidnapped the Canadian architect behind the Zamboni.

That speeder or whatever doesn’t look bad to me tbh. Those Imperial “Zamboni’s” remind me of Rey’s speeder though.

Sadly, the Empire doesn’t know that the Zambonis are extremely slow. They’re not very effective when trying to chase down people or other speeders.
