Some of those boys looked like they were four years old. I’ll never understand why George Lucas wanted Anakin to be a child in TPM, especially if he was planning on Anakin being at least in his early 20s by the end of the trilogy.

I was rewatching From Star Wars to Jedi on the Star Wars youtube channel and I had forgot how much OOT footage was in it. I noticed that the ugly furball thing that would later be the singer in the Special Edition was shown briefly in puppet form. I never noticed that before.
EDIT: I also forgot that almost 70% of the documentary was about Jedi and half of that was about Jabba’s palace.

I do like the glow, if it was turned down a bit. I’ve always thought Vader would have looked great with a blue saber, but I prefer the red lights in the TIE.

Agree. Blue reflects his personality better than red, too.
Some of his ideas are brilliant, but I can’t stand how he adds blue lights and blue panels and blue highlights to every. single. shot.

Why do some people (Lucas included) think Mos Isley should be a big, busy, sprawling city? The OOT depicts it as a run down truck stop. Much like those you see on the highway in the middle of nowhere. Not too busy, but necessary. I like that much more.

Last time I’ve checked he directed that movie… The “big, busy, sprawling city?” already is present in the original cut. He just extended it a bit for the SE.

I agree 👍 the SE damaged that isolation of it, OT made sense as a ’ once upon a time busy place’ now full of scum in hiding.

In the old EU I think Vader keeps it and then it shows up again having survived the Death Star and some doofy kids find it. Thanks, Junior Jedi Knights, for your crap stories. <_<

I have no idea. Most big cities aren’t wretched hives of scum and villainy either. Usually big cities have specific parts that are bad, and others that are good. It’s really only run-down places that are entirely wretched.
