Oh, Star Wars and DOOM are alike in so many ways...

George Lucas wrote a giant rough draft of the Original Star Wars, which he split and compressed into the 3 movies we know today.

-then-

Tom Hall wrote the DOOM Bible, which was then extremely cut down and compressed into the DOOM we know today.

You know, it would be pretty intresting to see these two the way they were originally designed to be. Not by today's standards, like the Special Edition and DOOM 3, but back in 1977 and 1993. Just imagine...

I'm of the opinion that Wolfenstein 3D could be considered a rough draft of DooM.

I spent a bit of time playing that one before DooM blew me away.
