It doesn’t load in Safari or Firefox. It only loads in Chrome because it’s a WebP image (somehow masquerading as a JPEG image through its filename extension — which again proves that filename extensions are stupid). It’s not much of an “open standard” if it only works in one browser.

MPEG-2 is horribly inefficient by today’s standards, but Blu-ray does support it. I reckon most recent Blu-rays use H.264 (which is actually AVC) because of its much greater efficiency and quality. All Blu-ray players can play it because it is a part of the standard.

No. He’s not a madman. He’s a rational actor acting in logical ways that align with his interests. Kim wants to stay in power, and ultimately, have a unified Korea under his control. He’s building nuclear weapons because without them he could fold like a deck of cards, like what happened in Iraq. There’s a logic behind the madness.

In an interview about Star Trek Discovery, the writers basically said it was. The show got a lot of flak for using “fuck” twice in the same episode, and the writers said it was freeing to not have censors saying they couldn’t do that.

I’m sure there was a reason other than just being purely rebellious.
