I also don't know if this is my player or if it's the video but when luke waves away the jawa who is eyeing his speeder the video changes brightness mid scene and then when luke starts to say "i don't understand how we got past those troops" it switches back in brightness.

EDIT: never mind i think this brightness switching is my player.  I noticed it in quicktime but not windows media player.  but bens cloak still looks a tad too dark as stated in my previous post

on that latest clip i noticed that bens cloak changes from brown to almost black when he says "this place can be a little rough".  in the top left comparison clip i don't think his cloak becomes that dark.

I agree on taking your time.

would it be ok to ask for an ETA on the next workprint though? tee hee :-)

just got done watching this and it is really good.  I was loving every minute.  will you be releasing another 40 minutes?

some of the things that looked off to me were,

I thought that the rebel soldiers shirts in the opening battle seemed to change from a sort of bluish gray to just blue.  it didn't stick out too much though.

I also noticed alot of dancing grays in very dark scenes.  Is this because you brightened it alot?  was this meant to bring out the crushed blacks?  i think it may bring out greys that weren't there before though.

I also agree that at times the warmer pallete makes it harder to pick out detail.  mainly on peoples faces on tatooine.  uncle owens face when he is talking to c3po is really bright and hard to make out.

I also noticed a bit more smearing in this version when compared to v1.  again most noticable on the faces

but these are very minor and alot of them have to do with the sources you are working with.

awesome.  if someone is willing to upload this(the 30 minute work print of V2) to megaupload or rapidshare i would love to get the links.

i just hope you do it before the whole project is released LOL

i am having a hard time downloading this mainly because i am using a public computer and it won't run jdownloader and the download keeps dying.

could you upload the work print to megaupload in 200 megabyte chunks?
