THE STAR WARS SAGA - 1080P AVCHD DVD-9 for PS3 & Blu-Ray players - Episodes 1, 4 & 5 available now
Time

First, thanks for these HD releases Adywan. The original Star Wars has never looked better (at home at least). I got ANH to run just fine on my PC, but I can't get it to recognize the dvd I burned of ESB. I burned the ISO a couple of times, and my software says it burned without error, but my computer never recognizes the disc. It just spins for a while and times out.

Anybody have a solution? Or a theory? I've tried this on two PCs with the same results. I suppose I could give a mac a try ...

DVD Codecs
Time
I've noticed that when playing DVDs on my computer glowing reds appear 'chunky.' The pixels are enlarged and curved shapes (like R-2's eye) are especially bothersome. Does anyone knows how to resolve this? Is it a codec issue? I've tried playback on a PC and a Mac with similar results. Thanks in advance!

CG lightsabers as a lightsource
Time
I'm sure this has been discussed, but it deserves some attention for the release of ROTS.

I find it a trifle annoying that lightsabers act as light sources for CG characters (mostly Yoda) but for the live action characters, they almost never do (do they ever?). I always thought it was weird that the lightsabers didn't cast any light in the OT, but I'm more annoyed that they reflect off of Yoda's skin and nothing else. This seems like something the art directors would have thought of. I wonder why the issue remains ...
