I can't claim it's super-awesome, but I think it works pretty well. If anyone feels like giving it a look, let me know what you think of it. I'm still pretty new to the hands-on part of all this, so I'm still learning.

Here 'tis

Vader's saber had multiple color variations, and I'm not a big fan of the yellow flashes when ever the two sabers would make contact...other than that it was ok. Kind of hard to watch that fuzzy LD rip footage as well...

The mods always make the final judgments on stuff like this but maybe you could post your own work in your own thread? I know you didn't mean any harm but if lots of people did what you did pretty soon this wouldn't be Adywan's preservation effort thread, it would be a mess......

Adywan, in the youtube trailer, the rebel transport ship (the one battling with the star destroyer) still has that red hue to it left over from the 2004 dvds. Would you agree with me that it was orginally more white than red?

Yeh, thats one of the shots i have have redone since the trailer and the red hue is now gone

Thanks Adywan....

I know you said before that this will be released in PAL format and that you'd consider releasing it in NTSC format as well...are you thinking along those lines? I would just like to encourage you to do both, it would make life a lot more enjoyable for those of us in NTSC land.....

thanks again for the trailer.

I think that's about how I feel as well.

It's great to see this thread on the front page where it belongs....the only thing that could be better would be a new screen shot or two....

If so, I've no idea why you would deduce that we are the same person, since there is nothing in my posts that defends the GOUT (indeed, I think it's a terrible transfer). I'm not saying the transfer WASN'T inverse telecined, I'm just asking for evidence that it WAS. I can't see any evidence that it was myself (and can't think of any technical reason to do so, other than disc space saving), but then I'm not analysing the MPEG data on a computer, I'm merely going by what I see on my TV screen.

I don't think you are being unreasonable at all, and perhaps those who have researched it more thoroughly can fill us in. I don't know enough about DVD authoring to comment myself.

But Darth Mallwalker's point is valid though. This discussion is off topic here. Who's gives a crap about the GOUT in the X0 thread? If I wanted to learn more about the GOUT I'd visit a GOUT thread. Leave the X0 thread to X0 specific topics...

Even if that were the case by the stretch of imagination... this project is to preserve the original as seen in theaters, not the original as intended by GL.

I think they XØ is all about preserving the LaserDiscs, not the theatrical versions (since there's no theatrical version on LD).

Isn't that the point though? The Laser discs are the closest thing we have to the theatrical version....at least that's what I though the X0 project was somewhat about...to not only preserve the Laser Discs but in doing so we would have the closest version possible to what was originally shown, not perfect but close...

Coov, that's another fine piece of art!

Look, I know coov does some cool sets 'an all, but taking a few snaps a putting then on the fancy DVD 3D thing is not really 'art'

Don't want to piss on your fire coov, but man, you can't make a turd shine.

Please don't take this the wrong way, because you really do come up with some nice 'Art' for various covers, it just these are just, well, lazy.

But who gives a monkeys what I think anyways

Coov took the time and made the effort to acquire the scans of the old SW lunch boxes, and make covers out of them, and hopefully eventually share them, and hes the one being lazy......yeah, right....

What's the matter Hot Rod? Why the grumpiness?
