- If George had only changed Special effects for the SE and DVD, would people have complained as much?

Did anyone bother to see the clip I posted last page?
yesss! i miss the devil may care quality of '77 star wars!
i agree with just ignoring the pt. george cheapened his own creation with that crap, pandering to moron teenagers and their ilk.
actually i bet george would've reconsidered how he did the prequels if he read any of the critical comments with an open mind. i don't see how any sane person couldn't.
i would've tightened the pace, its rather logy compared to the other two films.
same goes for the prequels, although i wouldve left in the padme scenes in rots.
tomorrowland was supposed to be a look into the future, not space fantasy garbage.
yeah 'the tragedy of darth vader' is a bunch of fink.

The ST if it is to work should take it's cue from the naturalistic fantasy of ESB and ANH.
yes, and while you're at it bring in some of the designers from LOTR, or maybe peter jackson and bring some of that grit and dark fantasy back into star wars.
did anyone think the cg, especially things like the clone uniforms, look better when projected on 35mm film?
they even used giant landscape models for the se.
and it doesn't help that lucas was always trumpeting everything being digital before and all through the making of the prequels.
in defense of the pt, anakins seduction by palpatine has some seedy gay undertones, as well as anakin loving his mother a little 'too' much.
i really want hamill, ford, and fisher to have meaningful roles, i didn't read any eu books for the supposed 'next generation' to take over.

She is an okay actress but for the main villain they should hire an actor of higher calibre.
quit dissing fisher.
i wish i could hate the prequels, but have you seen the horse whisperer, good god!
i like that stuff about billy dee, he was saying in interviews at the time of empire he would have a bigger part in jedi.
more please.
two things of interest: han's rescue attempt makes more sense now, and kershner and kurtz definitely were trying to make star wars more adult.
luckydube is here to tell us whats what. so just shut up and listen.

Sometimes Star Wars scoop comes from the most unusual of places. Robert Englund, who is best known for playing Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street series, is good friends with and even a former roommate of Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars series.
While appearing at the Nashville Comic Expo, Robert Englund talked about how both he and Hamill have done a lot of voice work for animation. He also let slip out a big secret in regards to exactly what Hamill is up to currently. “Mark now—they’ve got Mark in the gym, because Mark’s coming back as Luke Skywalker. They’ve got him doing his sit ups,” said Englund.
this is great, mark really let himself go the last few years.
what i've learned from all this, the prequels really do suck.
can't wait for kevin j. andersons jedi academy trilogy to become reality. (mel gibson voice) hoo-ray!
