Between 1’10 and 6’5.
It’s changed over the years.
Around 3’ was most fun, from memory.
ImgBurn is very good (and free) burning software for a PC.
I did not: there were no direct links to any projects in my posts.
Funny this thread should come up - I was just wondering this the other day. I’ve mostly called it ESB, probably because that seems to be the more common abbreviation, but realise this is inconsistent with the other films. For example, people tend to include the “T” in “TPM”, “TFA”, “TLJ” and “TROS”.
If searching on Google for things related to Empire, “ESB” is far more lucrative.
Randomski spamski:
“Intact” is a bit of a stretch…
Speaking of small details, does anyone still know what the intercom voice says here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKs0iI68Rx8&t=30s
I have some idea but I still don’t know for sure what he says.
“Media Squad, prep your team and check any power (powdered?) supplies.”
Maybe. The sounds change based on what I’m expecting to hear.
That’s a tough one. I couldn’t make out anything at first, but now think NeverarGreat is very close.
(snip)
But another time I misheard something from the OT is when Luke receives the vision of his friends being tortured on Cloud City I always thought Yoda responded to Luke’s question of whether they will die with “If you go to see”, only to realize through subtitles he said “Difficult to see”.
That reminds me of Yoda’s following line: “Always in motion is the future.”
For many years, I thought he said, “Always emotion is the future.”

A quick Google search reveals that this has caught out a number of other people.
However, Google finds no instances of “modern class” for Lando’s “among the clouds” (see my post higher up the page). I seem to be the only one caught out by that one.

Pray tell…
That’s how it was originally in 1980. Only half of the set inside the star destroyer was built and it was mirrored to make it appear complete. The SE used CGI to put the insignia back to the correct side, but otherwise the scene was still mirrored.
Speaking of misheard lines, this one springs to mind from TESB:
“You truly belong here with us among the clouds,” said by Lando to Leia in Cloud City.
It wasn’t until relatively recently that I read the “among the clouds” on subtitles somewhere. For over 30 years, I thought he said, “You truly belong here with us modern class.”
Anyone else caught out by this? Link here:

That brings back happy memories… I imprinted on the December 1988 ITV broadcast of TESB (the first film my family ever recorded on our new VCR) and only realised many years later that it had been slightly cut so the ads would fit (grrr). One scene which surprised me when I eventually watched the official VHS tape was the end of a conversation on Hoth between C3PO and Leia, followed by a line from C3PO to R2D2, regarding whether Luke was alright. I think some witty remarks Han made about C3PO on the Falcon had also been cut in the TV broadcast.
