BRILLIANT!!!

Yes, thank you twister.  I think.  Maybe I should have just considered it a mixed blessing.  ;)

You're welcome.

Hey, don't you dare go around sending PM's to people without posting them in this thread also. How are we supposed to comment on your PM if you don't post it here too?

Off Topic Discussion About Adywan's Revisited Projects

I don't know if this thread is OK with the moderators, but Adywan said he doesn't want to make a ROTJ Revisited Thread or a PT Revisited Thread until he works on them. I know there is a ESB and ROTJ Wishlist Thread, but this question applies more to the PT Revisited. This was originally an email, but Adywan said it is cheaper for him to check messages on here instead of through email:

Adywan, so you plan on doing the PT in 720p so you can alter position of the framing and maybe do some subtle panning and zooming in and out? Did you have anything particular in mind for that? I don't know if the PT has a framing problem, I think some scenes could be improved by having closer viewing of the actors and maybe changing the framing, but I can't think of anything in particular. Do you have anything in mind yet? Your computer will need to handle 1080p video if you do that because you will need to work with the whole picture. You should probably do the framing work first before color correcting and everything else so you can do the rendering in 720p instead of 1080p. Did you consider doing that with ROTJ? I don't think ROTJ has framing problems, do you think it has problems? Maybe you should consider working with ROTJ in 1080p in case you decide to change framing, because once it is in 720, you can't go back and change that unless you start all over.

I know you despise OCPMovie, but did you see his Deleted Magic: Revisited? Was that just a gimmick or did he really add more to it that is worth downloading again?

'Kay when I quoted this post I got a whole bunch of html stuff that seems to break the thread for some people. Even altering my preferences to read the thread I couldn't read below "email:" because it was cut off... Oddness. I only quote now for those unable to read the rest of the OP.

edit I deleted the html in the quote because, if someone were to quote me using the "an advanced editor (WYSIWYG)" in their preferences the thread'll be broken again./edit

Which do you think is a better ESB plot twist? Where do you think the other one would have lead?

Is it a real cut sub-plot or is it something that exists more in the mind of the fans?  I honestly don't know, I haven't bothered to research the script or read any of the 'making of' books.  I have looked extensively at a picture of a green-screen, so I think I have a pretty good idea of how the movie was made.

As for The Gathering...well, I don't feel quite so strongly as Twister111 does. It works well enough as a pilot, but again I don't feel that it's quite on par with the bulk of the show (Seasons 2-5).

It's not that I feel strongly about it. I did type "You can watch Season 1 without seeing the Gathering. Since "Midnight on the Firing Line" does sort of allow a person to get introduced to the series but, if you can I do recommend watching The Gathering first." Afterall.

I just recommend it because, well it's the start of the story. There's refrences throughout to it and, it's the way I first experienced the B5 story when it first aired*. Either way mostly I just wanted to let it be known that it's out there since, the standard season 1 boxset doesn't include it.

We're about to start B5 soon, so I should start with the pilot/movie then? Which one is that (have to make sure they have it)?

It's included in these DVDs

Watched some more Portal. I love the blooper reels they had during the credits.

Some lines, some during bloopers some in the show.
(strikethroughs denote bleeps)
Dave: "Nobody panic. The universe is fucked."

(two n00bs are running away from a huge flying creature about to eat them.)
n00b #1: "Sarah, incase we don't make it out of here I just wanted to let you know. I love you."
(silence while running)
"Sarah?"

Sarah: "I heard you."

In terms of web series I watched sfdebris review of "Night of the Comet".

"Babylon 5"

What a great show this is...

I'll be watching it soon. Didn't watch it during the original run (missed too much to just jump in), so I got Season 1 a coupla weeks ago. If I like it, I'll get more. :)

THE GATHERING IS THE PILOT JUST TO LET YOU KNOW!!!! It's not included with the standard season 1 boxset. It's in the movie collection. You can watch Season 1 without seeing the Gathering. Since "Midnight on the Firing Line" does sort of allow a person to get introduced to the series but, if you can I do recommend watching The Gathering first.

Also to note DO NOT watch "In The Beginning" at the start if you get the movie collection. Just The Gathering. "In The Beginning" can be viewed anytime after you watch "War Without End" two parter in season 3. Without getting spoiled on anything.

Does it bother anyone else that 'web series' comes before 'tv show' in the thread title? ;)

Tottally man, like, chrono speak wise tv shows came before web series! The title is far out in a whack way dude. Not in the radical "far out" vibe but, the kind of down way. twist's tryin' to screw with our heads! Create bad mojo in the streets and- wait, I am twist! Tottal freakout dude!!! http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/6051/faceiconsmalltongue.gif

This idea simply isn't new at all. Been done before. You'd just be another addition to the already existing people doing this.

Sluggo said:

And twister, ma'am, it seems you really like this Chuck TV show.  Do you think you like it more than xhonzi likes Inception?

I know I do. I've liked it since the pilot's aired. While there's a handful of episodes I feel that wasn't Chuck's best. For the most part I really enjoy the show and, entertainment wise it hasn't dissapointed ever. xhonzi's had far less time to like Inception.
