Marvel is going to need something to fall back now that they've totally frakked up Spiderman. ;)

Ah Spidey, Spidey, Peter Parker. You had it good once. Being written by a great writer J. Michael Straczynski. Then they wanted to do something to you greatly against what JMS wanted for you and you've been royally screwed ever since. Spidey you have my pity.

Well, as a temporary break from all the terrible things going on right now. I'll make this post.

This morning I had some turkey, mashed potatoes, and a few other things for breakfast. My friend said it looked like I was making art the way I arranged it on my plate. So much so she was unsure if I was going to eat it. Well unfortunately unlike the several thousands of other people that photo their food I just didn't have the presence of mind to do so. I was hungry and I was just going to eat it. I don't know, I just threw it on a plate to eat... Anyways it was some good food and it satisfied my hunger.

Anyways since I lacked the proper foresight to take a picture of my food here's a random food pic from the internet as compensation.

Now you may return to talking about tragedy.

General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread
Time

The escape pod seems to indicate "A ILM 15A". The most prominent symbol seems to just be a simple "A" to me. The text on the side seems to have the lambda symbol from the greek alphabet and a symbol that could be a representative of an "i" on it's right. Process of elimination would dictate that the symbol on the left most side is meant to represent "m". Obviously "ILM" Industrial Light and Magic. When you read it from right to left. Underneath seems to be just the numbers 1 and 5 so "15" and an Aleph from the Hebrew Alphabet hence "15A". So simple deduction means it could just say "A ILM 15A".

Though the Aleph contains a numerical value on it's own. So you could posit that the Escape pod says "A ILM 151". That's stretching things though as it's a bit redundant to have numbers listed with two entirely different designations. A bit like saying 1five12. Of course I'm stretching this analysis really far just bringing it up in the first place.

Of course I could really thin this stretch even farther by bringing up the fact that the Aleph is kind of like the "father" of the Aleph-Bet (The Hebrew Alphabet) and that the 5 represents the episode when the Vader Father secret gets revealed and the fact that Aleph is a silent letter means that the 1 represents that it's going to be a secret until 5. Also how it instantly went from 1 to 5 in the Star Wars saga. Hence 15Aleph.

Plus I could even point out how the letters to spell Aleph in Hebrew add up. Aleph = 1, Lamed = 30, and Pey = 80 are equal to 111. Hence it's only fitting that I twister111 am the one to figure this out.

Now take a look at this random image I found on the internets!!!!

You could let 'em spend 12 minutes on this page. Afterwards the fastest person to write down 12 muscles, or the closest to it, in the human face correctly wins.

Or the fastest person to throw 12 soda cans across the room wins. Soda cans can be filled or empty, you pick.

maybe tomorrow I should watch 12 Angry Men.

That's actually a pretty neat flick. If you haven't watched it already I'd recommend it.

That thing, you know, under a star destroyer...
Time

When the Star Destroyer presents it's rounded sack port to you do not be frightened. It is a basic mating ritual for the Star Destroyious. Destructum de la illuminea feature several different stages to courtship of another mate. Presentation of the rounded sack port. Opening shuttle bay doors. Intermingling of exhaust fumes to determine compatibility. Tractor embraces with radio communique. It's final courtship is when it enters into half-hibernation modus in order for it's partner to get up close. Then it's intercourse commences impregnating both partners with offspring to ensure maximum population. So long as you do nothing to further provoke mating the Destructum de la illuminea should leave to find more interesting potential mates.

(Yes, I just wrote that.)

Looks like the "SyFy" channel is going to celebrate it's 20th anniversary after all, only a few months late. Will be interesting to see if it's a whitewash or not.

http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/Walking-Dead-TV-Show-Couple-Fight-Shooting-Girlfriend-Attempted-Murder--182066071.html

A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly shooting his girlfriend during a heated argument over the television show "The Walking Dead," authorities say.
--------------------------

According to Nassau County police, Gurman was out with his girlfriend when the two began arguing over "The Walking Dead," a television cable drama about a man who wakes from a coma to a world dominated by zombies. Gurman apparently felt strongly that a "military mishap" could occur on the show.

"He felt very adamant," Detective Lt. Raymond Cote said at a news conference Tuesday. "There could be military mishap that would result in some sort of virus being released that could cause a terrible thing to happen."

Massively stupid asshole guy.

Though I think people may just be pansies. I see stuff in 60fps all the time!

XionEternum from the comments on that article:

Comments in a nutshell:
-Well if it's making people sick, I'm not even going to try it. I'm scared of change!
-We have to adjust like we did for other things like surround sound.
-Idiots! We elitist and self-entitled PC gamers can't stand with anything below 60fps. You're all weak-eyed wusses.
-Well, since I'm a humble PC gamer I can handle up to even 120fps without concern, and I rather like the clarity. I think I'll come back to the theater and try out their new 48fps.
Yeah, I've got nothing to add to this. I'm sure most would appreciate #2 and #4 in those comments more though. The rest we can do without.

I want to know why it's called "Star Trek", yet most of the films take place around Earth. Let's get out into deep space! You know, that place where no one has gone before. Generations & Insurrection seem to be the only two films in the franchise that do not include any Earth bound segments. And that is excluding the Earth holodeck scene in Generations.
Because films have to appeal to a broader audience than the tv show. People care more about Earth than they do about other planets.

Exactly right, that's why the Star Wars franchise has made George Lucas a really poor man because his Star Wars movie centers it's final act around a planet that isn't Earth! http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/9097/yhmin.gif
