For those of us sorry sad sacks without BluRay burners, what resources do we have for obtaining nice copies on printable media? I’d love help if anyone has an extra disc!

Thanks, Todd

In my opinion the best way is by streaming the mkv-files from a PC to your PS3. Universal Media Server software is needed on the PC. Once you have it all set up, playing movies is easier than inserting a disc in your blu-ray player. Don’t even need to get off the couch!
And subtitles work great too.

Really? I have a Sony BluRay, can I do that there?

STAR WARS: Symphony for a Saga (Released)

I also have a question for the fan edit community.

First…can you view the above video for AOTC?

Secondly, each of these has unrestricted copyright claim use. But this current video, YouTube is telling me Sony Classical is blocking viewing in 244 countries. How do I dispute that, given that the other videos have unrestricted viewing?

Thanks for the help!

STAR WARS: Symphony for a Saga (Released)

Smithers…if you had followed this project from over ten years ago, and caught what was originally marketed as V2.0, then these first releases are really re-releases. You most likely have all the singles and suites from the prequel trilogy. I did go through and add 1-2 seconds of silence between tracks so they didn’t play too quickly from a playlist. Originally, I created the suites to be burnable with a 2 second gap, but as digital media pervades, and most gaps are included with the tracks, I figured it was best to add that to the actual sound files. So that really is the only difference.

With that said, here is the next suite in STAR WARS: Symphony for a Saga! Listen to the “Attack of the Clones Suite” on YouTube, and up for download later today on http://musicofstarwars.tripod.com!

Take care…

STAR WARS: Symphony for a Saga (Released)
Time

Good Day, Fanatics…

I am pleased to announce the revival of my soundtrack project. Back in 2005, I launched the original Symphony for a Saga project and in the face of much skepticism, won over many fans. The idea was to create edits of the soundtracks from all six films into a seamless listening experience. I succeeded in some areas, and fell short in others. You can read the original release thread, here: http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/STAR-WARS-Symphony-for-a-Saga/id/2054

Then I returned to the project, hoping to create video to accompany the audio, but I never liked the results I could come up with. My other goals were to balance the length of the Prequel disc, and tighten up the flow of the Classics. Life interrupted, and I never completed the project. That re-release thread is found, here: http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/STAR-WARS-Symphony-for-a-Saga-Help-Needed/id/6989

(Jay…you are welcome to merge these threads if you would like.)

With the news of new Star Wars films, how could I not jump back in and finish the project (for myself at least). I finally cracked how to edit TESB, and am not working on tightening down the super long 37 minute suite. I am also working on trying to crack the remix of ROTJ because the audio quality suffers on the two disc SE release.

But many of you have never heard of this project before. I am rolling it all out right now.

But with the increase value social media brings, I have taken some new steps.

First, the original website has been re-designed. If someone wants to host this project for me, maybe we can get rid of the ads. For now, check it out at http://musicofstarwars.tripod.com.

Secondly, I know have a Facebook page. You can follow updates and releases at http://www.facebook.com/starwarssymphony/

Third, I now have a YouTube channel. I would appreciate subscriptions so I can unlock the ability to create a good URL. For now, find the project here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwTjSLrVysoXIKlRfcsIIBA

Links will be posted on http://musicofstarwars.tripod.com. I am only going to upload 320 MP3 and FLAC. Hopefully, MediaFire will place nice and not force me to re-upload links continually. I will also be posting releases on YouTube first.

If you haven’t heard the project, check out the first single from the project, “Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn’s Theme” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-H53YbQcDM

The first suite was just uploaded today, so give The Phantom Menace Suite a listen, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_hlvBcUikg. I will hopefully get links up for this on the tripod site quickly this weekend.

I’d love to hear your feedback and what you think. Like and Share the project on Facebook and other social media sites!

Take care,
Todd

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

kk.....

Just a bit of a soap box...

...I am sick of people having complaints and challenging Adywan on stuff. I'll admit, when I first read the revisited post on ANH, I thought....yeah...right. This will suck.

BUT...Ady has proven himself time and again. The constant bickering back and forth on crap like the color of TIE fighters or the laser cores just take time from Ady finishing the project and getting it to us. ANH:R is nearly perfection...and was his first effort. I can't imagine anything being wrong with future versions.

Stop challenging the guy...geez. If you want something different, figure out how to do it yourself.

SAVE LANDO!!!!
Time

Okay...

They way you handle the hanger scene is this:

Cut out the line "I want you to take her. I mean it...Take her!"

The rest plays well. In the cockpit, when Leia asks, "Hey, are you awake?"

Han replies, "Yeah..."

We look at the Falcon once more and he finishes, "I'm not going to see her again."

The biggest problem is the tone of the actors, if everyone knows its a suicide mission. Everyone is pretty jovial. There aren't any tears welling up. Then you lose the impact of Lando dying being a surprise.
