and do some lipsync like the emperor's scene.

That object on the floor behind them looks like something that could project holos. I think this idea is great. The holograms should look good. Maybe we can have the fuzz in and out because of the asteroid field. That would add more to when vader has them move out so that they can send a clear transmition to the emperor.

hey vaderios, could you do a mock up of Luke beating on Jabba's goones on the sail barge. Maybe so burn marks from Luke's saber. That would be great.

I just got photoshop and I have no idea how to do anything with it. I know this is the wrong thread, but I would like to see some ROTJ picture ideas too.

what program are you using vaderois. I would like to give some other ideas some tries.

Nice! Exactly what I was picturing. I think this is the best and fastest mock up I have seen. Cannot wait to see what Ady thinks of this. As much as I would love to see this in ESB:R I am not going to push for it out of respect for Ady's selfless work.

I think I have mentioned it before , but I would love to see an update to the ION cannon blast in the hoth battle. I would like to see the laser beam look taken out and replaced with a more electrical bursts with a few added elctricity volts comming from the star destroyer that takes the hit.

Replace each laser with a laser that has a sold white/bluish core with electricity streaming from it.

if he needs a reason not to do it, ady can say that the gas has thickened the air in the chamber and therfore the lightsaber "light" can not shine through.

I just thought for the hologram scene with the emperor that their should be some device that shows where the source is coming from for the transmission.

Yeah, I do mean the ION canon. I think the blast should retain the same shape but have an electrical look to it. It could have a electric tail streaming from it as it fires. If you wanted to really change things up you could show electricity emitting all around the canon itself right before it fires. It would be a cool way of showing it power up.

I had a idea for the ion cannon after watching the new clone wars show tonight. Wouldn't look cooler if instead of it shooting a standard laser shot, if Ady could make the laser bolts look electrical. They should maintain the same shape and size , but have a more electric look. What do you guys think?

Is ther any plans to add singe marks to vader and luke during the duel? I speficcally mean when luke strikes Vader's arm and when luke loses his hand. Some glow can be added to the areas struck by the saber.

teharri, thanks for pointing out that shot in the DVD menus. I really want to use that, and most probably will be able to now because i have some real bad news....

 

I have been trying to rip that scene from the DVD and it turns out it is much more difficult than I originally anticipated. Too bad about the HD, will this in any way speed up the process since it is no longer HD or will it be about the same amount of time.

does anyone know how to rip a dvd menu. I think it would be cool to edit this scene into the movie somehow. I also like the CGI falcon in the asteroid field on the Special Fetures Disc.

i can rip scenes from the movie but I am having a hard time ripping the dvd menus

if someone could post a clip of it that would be great so everyone can see it. If I knew how to rip it I would.

I was watching Empire today and I had a quick little idea. I was on the menu with Bespin and I noticed there is a really cool flyby of the falcon towards Cloud City. I was wondering if there is any chance it could be included in this new edit. It would eliminate one more cut, since there are so many in that one scene.

I work at a Sears in the suburbs of Chicago and I just wanted to let you guys know that I have placed Adywan's Ep IV on all of the HD TV's and the response is overwhelming. There are tons of people who stand there and watch with a puzzled looked with how good everything looks. There was even one guy who asked if this was another re release.

This shot always annoyed me as the ships in in seem total cut and paste jobs

The two close SDd are at exactly the saem angle, the distant SDs look exactly the same,

The two bulky ships are also at exactly the same angle...

I would love to see some chaos in the background battle in this shot. Maybe some smoke pooring out of a few ships, and lots of firing between the ships.

 

And about that shot of the X-wing flying towards cloud city, excellent idea about having the clouds swoosh as the ship flys by. Great idea whoever had it.
