Just like that guy’s arm in the new Cloverfield!
Just like that guy’s arm in the new Cloverfield!
Ehrenreich seems to have Han’s mannerisms down. It’s all going to boil down to whether us old fogeys accept him as Han Solo or not. I had no problems accepting the cast of Star Trek 2009, because in the end I saw Kirk Spock and McCoy on the screen even if they were being portrayed by different actors.
In the end Ehrenreich has to be Han, not Harrison. If he can make Han his own, it’s going to be a fun ride.Yes!! That’s it exactly. Well put Wook. He has to be Han, not Ford. Good point on Trek. As I’ve said many times before, if you can recast Kirk, Spock, and McCoy (and they did a fantastic job), you can recast anyone.
Well… I don’t think I see Kirk, Spock and McCoy with the nuTrek movies. Spock might be the worst. Not because of the actor, but because of the writing. Pretty sure in the end this Solo movie will be another Disney flick to be ranked just between ANH/TESB and ROTJ by most of the OT.com members anyway, so no worries guys 😃
Can a mod come explain that?
Is there an individual release of the Lester cut on Blu-Ray? I can only seem to find Donner’s outside of the box sets.
Casino Royale scenes like Han’s gonna get his balls whipped by Galen Erso?
Looks like a lot of fun. I’m definitely looking forward to this now, though the I’m still not quite buying Han. He looks okay, but his voice just sounds so wrong.
The Cloverfield Paradox
I liked a lot of things about it, the set design, some of the music, the cast; but in the end, it’s a movie about a whole lot of things just happening because parallel universe and there’s not much to hold it all together.
I guess I forgot to mention my number score or whatever. 2.5/5, or 5/10, or whatever. A fairly competent movie, but far from a good one.

Is he actually doing that Prince thing? I thought everyone decided that was a bad idea and took it out at the last minute. At least, I think I read that somewhere.
.
they didn’t invent their own proprietary one.
Cloverfield Streaming
All three movies, available for only $10.99 a month!
I liked it.

But Han is a ~ main character ~
Doesn’t matter. Lando did the right thing and could have saved Han if the other heroes woulda’ let him.
Even if Han died, Lando did the right thing.
If we get to Jedi and Han is complaining “Lando! You risked my life to save hundreds of others! HOW COULD YOU!?” Han would no longer a character I care for at all. Fortunately, that’s not the case.
I know. I was being facetious.

You have some nerve, claiming to be hip and cool when you’ve already admitted to be being a Blink-182 fan.
“Dammit (Growing Up)” now I know what my mum was talking about when she said I shouldn’t reveal too much about myself on the internet.
FTF182
I certainly don’t think so.
Looper (2012) - 4/5
It’s a fun, twisty sci-fi yarn that felt like it was ripped from old pulp novels.
Or, alternatively:
Memeingless
Memetic Nihilism
I think he’s referring to that specific image of Spongebob, which for us youngsters was a social media meme trend about a year ago (it was lame then too).
Do you guys think that this movie is going the “fun” route, or more of a serious story like dark knight?
[extremely Dark Knight voice] “Youeitherdieascoundrelorlivelongenoughtoseeyouselfbecomeanerfherder.”
Sometimes I’ll forget about the age gap between me and a lot of other members on this site, but then someone will say something lame or post an old meme or something and I realise I’m basically hanging out with a bunch of thirty to forty year olds. No disrespect.
What about me? 😦
Prisoners (2013)
Quite literally floored me.
