“Too much” and “garlic” is a three-word combination that simply does not exist in nature.

You can get more reading and movie-watching done in 90 years than 30. That’s the only reason I would want to live that long.
The only connection I can find (after a single cursory Google search) between V and Speed Racer is that V was directed by the assistant director of the Matrix so… what’s your point? Am I missing something?
V was written by the Wutchumucallitskies.
No, it was written by Alan Moo-OOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo okay I get it now.

Happy 80th birthday, Superman!

Action Comics #1 was released on April 18, 1938*. 80 years later to the day, the book sees its 1000th issue.

My very first comic was an Action Comic, specifically issue #724, and I still have it.

Through the years, Superman has had many wonderful adventures in Action…

…some not so wonderful…

…and some that DC thankfully undid and left behind as a footnote in the Big Book of Bad Reboot Ideas.

Anyway, without this comic magazine and its humble beginnings, comics as we know them would not exist. I’m glad we live in a world with a Superman. Though he’s not “real,” the character has helped me through some rough times.
So happy birthday Superman, here’s to 80 more years and beyond!
I’ve only seen a handful of episodes as well, but I enjoyed them for their camp fun.
I believe it was joefavs (on twitter) who said “I don’t see the point in doing Lost in Space if you aren’t going to make it campy as hell,” and I’m inclined to agree.
God :

5/10 for me is “lame, but not terrible,”
FTFM
That’s basically what I meant anyway.
Maybe he refers to your dissing of David Lynch.
wrong! God definitely helped that famous sports
5/10 for me is “competent, but I don’t like it,” so I pretty well disagree as well.
Letter grades, at least in the US (can’t speak for others) are total bullshit.
he would have lost his job. Same for me if I ever get home
All time blurs together for me.
Arrival (2016) dir. Denis Villeneuve
Chyron, your presupposition, and refusal to elaborate on said presupposition, that God’s existence is completely evident and unquestionable can be frustrating. Your strong faith is quite admirable, but your behavior in this thread today is baffling.
Ratings help the man who fight his fear
Censor board’s the only thing that keeps me here
Well, yeah, of course they shouldn’t be mandatory (side note: I’m tired of being carded every time I try to buy an R-rated movie) but since they are mandatory, they should at least be not as terrible.
Alt covers should be just as mandatory as the giant ratings, then.
I saw a lyric book that censored asshole as “assh*le”, but the “ass” part is the bad part, right? Why was the “hole” censored instead of that?
I think he means that, even though Ghostbusters is not a documentary, ghosts could still hypothetically exist. Or something.
Anyway, I remember a book I read several years ago written by a preacher whose soon allegedly had a near-death experience and went to heaven. Then he went on to claim that his son never actually flatlined in his surgery, so that obviously meant his son was as holy and pure as the prophet Elijah who ascended while still alive. It was ridiculous and insulting, but it’s sold as nonfiction and the kid got to play himself in his movie biopic IIRC.
My Star Trek movie set is a region free UK set. Thankfully the big ratings are on the bottom of the box, but they’re also printed on the otherwise great disc art that uses original poster art.
