Not necessarily. I've been through Chicago at rush hour. Its horrible.

As for how you fly in that, you go with guns blazing and pray you blow it up before you hit it.

I am not sure what's going on, since at the office, in two different computers using firefox, both showed the page with a messed up layout. Perhaps our server had some old version of the page cached? Nah can't be it...
I wonder if it could in any way be related to this kind of thing:

Why doesn't MSN work with Opera- from Feb. 2003

If it can be done with Opera, why couldn't someone do it with Firefox?

Didn't you hear??

Microsoft recently bought a spy-ware software company...Giant Software I think was the name. They are working on developing their own spyware program. The BETA is free right now, but they will probably sell the finished program.

As for why they don't release a secure product, it makes perfect sense. Let the current free product stink, so that you can sell another program to help fix it.

Well, I'm not surprised. The criminals are getting dumber and dumber. The banks don't need to be as cautious.
I got a dumb criminals desk calendar last year, and there were things in it that surprised me.

Sequels that should never be...
Time
There was never a need for any of the movies that I like to call "Killer Chick Flicks".

Now, to quickly explain, killer, in this instance, is not an adjective that can be used interchangeably with great or cool. In this instance, I mean movies where chicks get killed (usually with a knife, axe, machete or other extremely messy impliment).

This would include and is not limited to the:
Nightmare on Elm Street series
Friday the 13th series
Halloween series
Scream series
I Know What You Did Last Summer series

Starkiller's Fan Fic. Story
Time
IF I write this long enough to get 24 years after ANH, maybe I'll get into the Vong. But as it is, I've got 41 pages, and that only covers about 9 (Earth) months. I've got about 2 more years before I hit ANH. I can sum things up to speed the process of writing, but its still a LONG time to go.

fanfiction.net does chapters?
What was I...
Oh, I remember, theforce.net does fan fictions, and they require a piece be finished.

On another note, I'm going to let you guys help me with something.

In the story, the main character (I/You) is taking on his first mission for the Rebellion. He's smuggling weapons from Corellia to the Free Alignment of the Virgillian Civil War, then smuggling Free Alignment troops onto a planet held by their enemies, the Aristocracy. I want to write in a firefight, but I cannot decide if it should be:
- a ground gunfight at the Corellia docking facility when I picking up the weapons
- a space battle when I attempt to drop off the troops on the Aristocracy planet

I went out and bought one of Victorinox's best Swiss Army knives, the Cybertool 41.
I had to add something to this $90 knife.
A bent 1 cent paperclip.

Why? So I could get a floppy disk out of a Mac.
Give me a computer with a manual floppy disk ejection button any day of the week.

Then you have the original IMac. No floppy drive, and if you wanted 96MB of memory or more, you had to void the warranty.

I have never found anything that a Mac did better than a PC.

I think the Budweiser commecials will be better than the Miller commercials, and the Pepsi commercials will turn out better than the Coke ones.

Oh, and Compuserve commercial about 6 years ago was the best ever made.
It was just a white screen, you heard a modem dial and connect (which not many AOL people heard at the time). Then they gave their name and a phone number to subscribe.
It was simple and hit a large segment of the population.

MGM's DVD Class Action Settlement
Time
From www.thedigitalbits.com

Quote

By the way, we've amended our comments from yesterday on the MGM DVD "settlement" issue. No actual settlement has happened - the weblink we gave you is a settlement proposal posted on a web page created by the law firm involved. We're going to be doing more research over the weekend, but frankly, based on our initial investigation (and talks with people trust within the industry), the whole argument seems completely baseless and without merit. It basically seems like a couple of yahoos, who have no real understanding of the way widescreen films are transferred to DVD for 16x9 and 4x3 presentation, think they've stumbled onto some big conspiracy by MGM to defraud their customers. If there was any truth to their claim, given all of the videophiles and film critics out there who obsessively nitpick their DVDs to death in terms of presentation quality, SOMEONE would have blown the whistle long before this. Anyway, we'll have more on this whole thing next week.

I also found something talking about a Spaceballs: Special Edition (would Mel Brooks make alterations to HIS movie too??) on the same site.

So, if the MGM thing is legit, I might be tempted to trade mine in for the money, and use that for the newer edition.
