I don’t know if any were planned. The shooting script for A New Hope doesn’t mention the skyhopper being flown, and all of the previously available drafts are drastically different from the final product, so we can’t be certain.

I think this is the first time I’ve seen someone claim to have fixed all of the issues with the prequels! So, if you provide a cut-list and some screenshots I’ll sure as heck check this out!

The first clip is edited really well, except for the constant shot reuse and lack of spacial awareness. Are they going towards the planet or away? Are they in the middle of space or are they next to a planet? Etc.
I really like the writing for the Nemoidians, they seem genuinely threatening.
Perhaps after the Endor “Planetary” shield goes down, a squad of U-wings goes down to supply the ground with more troops?

There are a lot good ideas in here, but holy crap, most of this would be un-doable.
I know for a fact that you can hodgepodge “What is it… Bounty Hunter” from already existing audio, but do we have something similar to “See to it that he remains there”?
I would love to see the Moff Jerjerrod subplot restored! I also hope that you make Madine the captain of one of the Mon Cal’s that get hit by the Death Star, as discussed in a different ROTJ thread.

I think that the whole Tatooine sequence could be re-edited to seem a little less… convoluted?
My ideal sequence would be:
R2 goes to palace ALONE (3po provides only fan service, because he’s gone use more subtitles)
R2 delivers message Reveal of carbonite.
Jabba decides to execute Han to spite Luke, unthaw him.
Cell scene with reveal of Chewie.
Luke arrives, threatens Jabba, fights rancor, gets captured.
Sarlacc pit sequence minus Leia
Luke uses the force to fire the gun at the deck of the skiff?
Luke escapes with Han, Lando, Chewie, and R2
Luke hears Leia over the ship radio
Luke heads to dagobah while Han and Lando settle their differences and head back to the fleet.
This would would be better in a few ways:
Instead of sending in 4 waves, there are only 3
The plan is more coherent
Lando and Chewie went in at around the same time (Like Lando mentioned in Empire)
The reveal of Chewie is actually a surprise for the audience
I think that you can pull this off, if your Luke vs Vader edit shows anything 😃. It will make for a very interesting edit nonetheless.
A few questions:
-Yoda spoke of ‘another’, how will this handled in your edit?
-Will the Death Star show up with the Imperial Fleet and will it destroy Hoth?
-Without a lot of very precise (and annoying) rotoscoping of the final battle, a lot of the best shots in ROTJ will be lost. Will you edit around these shots or will they appear in the movie?
-How much time has progressed between Chapter 1 and 2? Does the probe find the hidden rebel base or is it the Falcon’s tracking device?
-Who’s narrating it?
So far, this sounds like a less extreme version of The War of the Stars, and I am very excited. I hope to see this get made.

Seems like it’s roughly every 6 hours. What is it that you are saying is very inconsistent about it?
Maybe not very inconsistent, but it’s a half hour to an entire hour off every interval.
I’m probably just reading too deeply into all of this, the hype must be getting to my head.
Welp, I guess that answers one of my questions.
It might still be a “countdown”, we can’t rule that out yet, however it has been very inconsistent.
I honestly hope that it’s the “ultimate saga trailer” or whatever, can’t wait to be hyped for the next 20 years of my life!
If it’s a countdown, it’s not a consistent one!
