Well, (I’m pretty sure) they shot this scene on location, so there really wasn’t anything back there.

It might need a sand dune in the background or something. And that sunset idea is pretty neat.

Mos Eisley in the original film didn’t really have any tall buildings or skyscrapers, so I think this approach helps sell the idea that these towns are similar.

How rad would it have been if they had cast Christopher Lee in the movies? What if they gave him a character with an interesting backstory and not use him? Give him ten minutes of screentime. All he does is stand, walk around, or flip around. That sounds rad. That’s a character I can get behind. Someone who’s only tangentially related to the plot or any of the main characters. That sounds awesome.

Christopher Lee didn’t deserve what he got.

I love both Force Awakens and Last Jedi and they both seem to work together in my brain. Nothing in last Jedi actually contradicts the ‘text’ of Force Awakens except for maybe Luke’s saber toss.
