This is going to bug the crap out of me now.(possible ep. III spoilers)

How does it take Nineteen years to build the first Death Star, but 4 years to build the second one, which was bigger and more powerful.

And people thought that Bostons Big Dig was huge drain, I wonder how many times the Imperial Senate tried to can the DS, or divert funding to other things, like expanding Marksmanship training for stormtroopers.

Ahhh... no.

The ITV mix is a wholly seperate entity on its own. The theatrical mono is Biggs.

The ITV mix is the closest, but not perfect. Stereo and 70mm were Wedge

I do beieve the speedup of 24fps film to 50Hz(Interlaced) PAL video is 4%

The mono mix mp3 that is out does have gaps in it however and contains "Blast it Wedge". I believe that the source is the ITV broadcast, which contains some changes from the theatrical mono.

For most of them it was because of that fact that it was filmed in a open matte process, but was meant for widescreen release in the theaters, and most teathers cropped the image to be at an aspect ratio very close to that of HDTV(slightly wider).

with windu's lightsaber I would suggest using a soft edge with the recoloring area, similar to what Verta did with the green saber fix on the MF.

Or create a new blue blade, slightly bigger, and roto that over it.

Editious, I would love to go back through your dvd and re-time the colors.

Reading SWLegacy has made me see the color casts and I can't unsee it.

Have you thought about re-cutting the battle of yavin to match the earlier timing from the original cuts?

I.E. splitting the passby shot back up in to the original two-shots.

Mike, for some of the duel shots, the previously unpainted lightsabers had a simple glow added for the DVD, but lack the distictive white cores of other shots and of the other films.

Are you fixing that mistake?

MySpleen has the pre-existing LD -> DVD availible via bittorrent.

As far the widescreen issue, all the widescreen versions of the LD's are just a 4x3 image of it with black above and below, nothing special.

some transfers upres'd the video to create the anamorphic widescreen image, but, this adds false detail to the image and can soften video.

the hangar fix looks prety airtight to me.

I'd say take one of the interior bars, rotate it to be vertical, and the interiors will match the exteriors.

Lord Editious, have you considered adding in a bar to the middle of the falcon's windsheild to match the model shots of it in the movie, and rest of the trilogy.

Perhaps, grab it from ESB or ROTJ.

See this shot for details.

I would like to see the bit of the glowing ring that us missing its glow, directly underneath from where the falcon enters the DS hangar, fixed.
