--Plus, the scene with Han, Leia and Chewie walking around inside the space slug is quite unrealistic to my standards; you should remove the mynocks and the three walking around inside the space slug, and leave it to making repairs inside and the shaking as the TIEs drop their bombs.

--The space slug is not very impressive either, but it looks more like stop-motion to me; better smoothen it out.
-Or maybe you could have a new shot, with the falcon approaching the camera and the space slug behind it. What do you think?

Add A-wings (and maybe even B-wings) to the finale and you will make me really happy :D
Maybe you should add a few TIE bombers to the scenes with the imperial fleets. The only times we actually see those are when they are bombing the asteroids. Adding a few other ships (such as the TIE interceptor) would be great, too!
Another idea could maybe be a few TIE bombers over Cloud City, ready to drop 'em at any time. :P I got this idea from a youtube video, in which a fleet of TIE bombers destroy the rebel base (actually another Cloud City in the video :P)

I do remember the imperials saying something about the rebel fleet amassing near Sullust... I don't really see anything wrong with adding a planet somewhere in the background, far away...

Well, that quote is in ROTJ, which takes place almost a year after ESB ends. So they're probably not massing near Sullust for that whole time.

Ooops....

--The fleet scene with the reveal of the Executor could be over the same planet you used with the Death Star reveal.
--New shots of the Falcon and TIES in the asteroids?
--Shots of Luke's X-wing entering and exiting hyperspace (especially after he says "we're not regrouping with the others" etc etc)
--Adding a planet to the scenes with the rebel fleet at the end of the movie (Sullust, maybe?)
--Adding some of those hot-air balloon thingys and tibanna gas refineries to the initial far-away reveal of Cloud City with approaching Falcon
--Improvising the sunrise-from-space effects when you see the Falcon leaving Bespin being chased by TIEs
--Shots of the X-Wing inside the Dagobah atmosphere (from outside)
--I'd sure like to see those Tauntauns running a bit faster; the stop-motion makes it all look like big steps, slow speed.
--Maybe you should test out animating CGI characters to replace the stop-motion tauntaun shots.... just a concept, lol. Could maybe prepare you for ROTJ (especially if you will want to add extra Ewoks there lol)

Could you take these into consideration?

Here's an idea -- maybe you can show these 'dropships' launching from an Imperial Star Destroyer. Filiming new scenes or completely using new CGI to create a scene on Hoth would probably be too hard.

I really don't think there's anything wrong with the new SE emperor conversation. I think the line 'I doubt he is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker' really emphasizes the gap between the PT and the OT. About the 'young rebel that destroyed the death star' line, I think it should be changed to 'young padawan.' What they did know about Luke at the time is that he was a young padawan... I'm not sure how they managed to know what his name is yet. There is no reference to this... e.g. when Vader tells Luke that he is his father, how should he know Luke's name? Did he sense it with the force? It's confusing. I also think that the line 'the son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi' should be changed to 'the young padawan must not become a jedi,' since they still are not sure if Luke is Darth Vader's son at the time.

Maybe you should insert a scene near the end of the movie with the Death Star II under construction (but very incomplete). The Death Star II is introduced in ROTJ by way of the title crawl and the opening shot, and I just don't think that's how it should be. It's not a very menacing introduction like it is in ANH (and ROTS). What do you guys think?

A few more ideas:

Correcting the Falcon's shadows on the bigger asteroid
Correcting the colouring of the TIE fighters in the asteroid battle scene (over-blue, doesn't match the rest of the scene)
Recolouring some of the asteroids so that they match (some are reddish or somewhat bluish)
Possibly removing the scenes with Han, Leia and Chewie walking inside the space slug, outside the Falcon (realistically, they don't just need oxygen masks and tanks in there, but also proper suits to withstand pressures and temperatures, even if there is an atmosphere inside) and leaving it to landing, trying to make repairs inside the space slug, then having the Falcon shaking and leaving the space slug immediately. With the TIE fighters destroyed, the chances of getting another fleet of TIE fighters there before the Falcon are low (the other TIE Bombers are probably on the other side of the asteroid now )
Revising some of the scenes showing (the whole) Cloud City
Removing the new CGI approach and replacing it with an all-new approachscene from behind the Falcon (I agree that the Falcon seems flat there) if you can manage it (e.g. reusing the shot of the Falcon approaching Yavin in ANH but sped up and retimed, adding cloud cars and finding some background scene to go with it)
Although many people may disagree with this, removing the 'galaxy' at the end appears to be a hard choice you may have to make (unless you replace the galaxy with a larger image similar to this image)
Recolouring the scenes inside the frigate in the finale (purplish glow) LINK to image
Have a few tears fall out of Leia's eyes as the Falcon launches, make her show her feelings

I also noticed something -- the TIE Fighters you used in the Death Star introduction in ANH -- were they taken from TESB's shot with the Executor approaching Hoth?

Me again... Just a few more suggestions. Although IMHO Luke's fall is better without the scream, you could edit the scream to make it sound more like Luke's. After all... nobody would just drop a few hundred feet without screaming or yelping! At the battle of Hoth, maybe you could add an extra Ion Cannon or footage of the ion cannon being destroyed (Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron). I also think that the X-Wing crashing in Dagobah should be improvised (it just crashes in the water... doesn't do it for me). Good luck!

Hey there, I just noticed tihs thread! I agree with bkev about the Yoda recolouring. That picture makes Yoda look like he was in the prequel trilogy (only better ). Maybe you should add some A-Wings and B-Wings to the final scenes with the rebel fleet. Maybe you should make Palpatine look a bit more like his 1980 counterpart (e.g. his face is more of a shadow; this way he looks more mysterious). Also, more cloud cars in cloud city would overall make it look alot better. I'm looking forward to this project. Good luck!
