It is a small step up from SF008...

In the spirit of preservation I decide to make SF009 a preservation project. Preservation of what you asked? I will tell, the Star Wars Special Edition VideoCD Trilogy Set. Yep you never would have guessed that right. So for the specs->

SF009 - Star Wars SE Trilogy VCD(PAL)

This is a dvd that contains the Offical VCD trilogy. The VCD Special Edition Set
was not widely released to the world, and is now out of print. I did convert
the audio to AC3 for better compatability.

Please Look at disc specs below for technical information on this release.

Contents:
Star Wars: A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Episode II Sneak-Peak

Strangely enough, I have never been able to find a.b.superman. Most likely your news server service does not carry a.b.superman, sometimes it takes a simple email to request a group to be carried.

Oh, and I got your Friday The 13th disc, sega. NICE! Thanks again!
I remembered that you liked horror movie so I thought I would send a copy your way. Glad you liked it.

SF009 Is being burned right now, so if it checks out all good I will tell you people what it is...

Hey I use agent aswell and love it.

I understand the problem that many people have with a.b.dvd that is why I also post to a.b.superman. So instead of a.b.dvd you can use a.b.superman. Nothing in that group is very superman related that I have seen.

Come to think of it maybe someone should make a new newsgroup called a.b.dvd.fanedit!

I'LL START OFF BY SAYING THAT THERE ARE TWO VERSIONS OF THIS DVD COMING OUT ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18th. THERE WILL BE A THEATRICAL VERSION AND AN UNRATED EDITION. YOU CAN SKIP THE THEATRICAL VERSION. AS IS THE CASE WITH BOTH DVDs YOU GET DIGITAL 5.1 SURROUND. HOWEVER, THE THEATRICAL IS IN FULLSCREEN WHEREAS THE ENRATED IS IN ANAMORPHIC WIDESCREEN. RIGHT THERE IS REASON ENOUGH TO BUY THE WIDESCREEN EDITION. THERE ARE EXTRA SPECIAL FEATURES ON THE UNRATED AS WELL WHICH INCLUDES THE BEHIND-THE-SCENES FEATURETTE "WHEN SHAUN MET GEORGE." YOU GUESSED IT. SIMON PEG AND EDGAR WRIGHT GO VISIT GEORGE A. ROMERO ON THE SET OF LAND OF THE DEAD, AND THEY EVEN HAVE A CAMEO IN THE FILM. IF YOU'RE A FAN OF GOOD ZOMBIE MOVIES THEN THIS ONE IS FOR YOU.

THIS IS A BUY.

Well I hope that the UPS man shows up tomorrow then!

Ok, anyone know of a freeware mpeg2 cut/join tool? the ESB SL & DL & PAL & NTSC mpeg2 files are encoded but playing back I notice the black level jumps up noticably when the STAR WARS logo goes into the distance (not my encoding/filtering fault, it's like that on the disc) and I only really saw it once playing them back on a tv, so I'd like to just re-encode that part and splice it back into the 4 mpeg2 files that took almost 2 days to encode. TMPGEnc doesn't work with them because of the high filesizes. It'd be much quicker to splice fixed clips back in than re-encode the whole damn lot.

MPEG VCR might do the trick, I think the company is wombler or something like that, sorry my computer is busy so can not check the name. It was a free 30 trial.

Friday the 13th Jason goes to He|| extended - Workprint (Released)
Time
Ok I have the Uncut Part4 captured on my computer, I plan on first doing a dvd with just the 'raw' capture of the tape then followed by a dvd that is a mix of offical dvd and tape sources. Anyways... for this do you guys want PCM or Mpeg audio? With PCM I can get about an average bitrate of 5Mbps for video, and with Mpeg (256) I can get about 6Mbps for video. I am leaning towards the mpeg audio for this. Any Input?
