Has anyone done covers for the prequels in this style? If not I’ll attempt a swing at it but just wanted to check first since my photoshop skills are no good

I’ve done ALL the covers. I just haven’t uploaded them because the despecialized versions are not yet available.

I’m afraid you’ll have to recreate that one on your own. It was exclusive to those who bought my box set. The resources to ape the Topps card on your own can be found online.

I use a thick cardboard stock called Chipboard. Got some 12x12 black pieces through Amazon. It’s a little over 1mm thick. I cut pieces to size and use paper tape to construct the initial box. I then print the artwork onto photo paper, cut, and use a spray adhesive to attach it to the chipboard box. I’m sure others have a different process, but this works for me.

Do you have a link to the product page on Amazon. After looking locally, I think I am going to have to go with Amazon for ordering chipboard for my boxes.

I am exploring an ever BETTER box for my despecialized box set. Not the bonus stuff like the mini-posters and mini lobby cards, but the individual bluray cases and the box itself.

After some trial and error, I think Star Wars Despecialized box set 2.0 is almost ready. But before I tackle that, I thought I’d try my hand at another film series…

Using that video as a guide, I started building my Indy box. Here are the results. Think it came out pretty good… I just need to find some glossy sticker paper so the cover inks look more vibrant. Materials list and download links coming soon. I will not be posting a tutorial on how to build the box; the video above should be enough.

Thanks for the response. Do you know what type of 13x19 stock/lb paper your friend used for printing out your slipcase?

Canon matte photo paper, but the heavier the stock, the better. Get the heaviest that will feed through.

Use a large inkjet printer and 13 x 19 paper for the slipcases, as heavy a paper stock as your printer will accept.

Sully, didn’t get a PM from you.

At any rate, the limited run of five box sets have sold out. After months of zero requests, I have been deluged over the last two weeks.

I am taking a waitlist for a second run, but I’ll be upfront, I may not do another run, as its a ton of work to print, handcut and assemble these boxes.

Don’t forget, the files are posted online so you can always make your own (BUT NOT SELL THEM)!

Serif gothic, but I had to customize some of the letters, as it didn’t match the version they used in 1977.

It’s 15 1/8" wide from end of crop mark to other crop mark.

Are you using the Criterion cases? The box set was designed for the thicker Criterion collection cases.

Progress report:

All the needed supplies came in, so I printed out the remaining goodies. This weekend, all the mini-posters and envelope were printed and trimmed. E-mailed my friend with the large format printer and he is printing the actual boxes/slipcases. I will see him this weekend when we catch Civil War and he will hand off the files for me to trim, fold and glue. Then I’ll pack and ship and the first bunch should be out by mid-May.

Thanks for the members who have placed their orders. Just a quick update. I printed out as much as I could and began assembling your box sets this afternoon while watching TFA.

Progress report:

• Cover inserts printed and Criterion cases ordered and received.
• Mini lobby cards printed and cut
• lobby card envelopes, printed and cut
• Topps cards/wrappers printed, cut, signed and numbered
• mini booklets printed, scored, cut

Waiting for a paper and inkjet ink re-supply from Amazon so I can print your mini-posters. My buddy is printing the boxes themselves, but he too is waiting on a re-supply. Thought you’d appreciate a few progress images.
