Harmy's RETURN OF THE JEDI - Grindhouse 35mm LPP (Released)
Time

Its not on usenet, however I can upload it with Harmy’s permission. I am downloading it from his instructions, however usenet would be much faster for many.

So I will wait to hear back, a gem like this needs to be shared. I can guarantee like the rest of you, I have bought this trilogy (and everything else) all the way from VHS, LD, DVD and Blu.

Well, the audio from the Japanese broadcasts were not english, you would need to sync the DVD audio to them.

I can easily find the synced tracks for you and they should be under 400 days old on usenet

I think there are only 3 instances where any hardcoded subs show in the image, the rest were in the black bars of the broadcast which I removed in my encode.

1 in Raiders at the beginning where it says 'South America 1936'

1 in Temple at the beginning where it says 'Shanghai'

1 in Crusade where Indy and Connery look at the signs pointing to Berlin after the motorcycle scene.

I think that was all of them that I noticed when I watched them recently, so you shouldnt have alot of work to do there.  I had a bit of trouble trying to find the right IVTC method though for the encode, but I am sure you could easily figure it out.

Good luck with the project.

... not to mention OPs "site" I think is down

I spotted this text at the foot of an NFO file the other day while browsing through binsearch:

Ps3Avchd never died they moved on ;)
HD@ddicts

Personally, I have no interest in dealing with groups that waste Usenet resources by posting password-protected files, but someone else might want to search out where these guys went to.

Well, I appreciate your position on this, but when you are posting films on usenet, there is a danger of copyright infringement.   Passwording is for the uploaders safety, so dont think for a second we do it selfishly.  None of us do it for money, just to share our work.

The site is now invite only due to us being shut down BECAUSE we posted without passwords.   I posted these a long time ago, but if anyone has a decent news service, might be able to get them.

Any chance I could just pay you Rock for the cost of three BD-25's through Paypal for the Trilogy? Send me a PM please if it's alright.

sorry I didnt get back to you earlier.

unfortunately I cannot help you, I still dont even have a BD burner, but I can view them off of a USB HDD.  I did make some DVD9 copies that turned out quite nice.   You just need DVD-DL's for those, you can pm me if you want to know where to find them, I used the same source.

Actually come to think of it, if I had kept the original files I could have re-worked the menu without our name on it for you quite quickly and easily, but I am a neat freak so I delete all unneeded files when I was done with them, I dont even have the original source anymore.

Once you can get a grasp of DVD Architect 5.0, making your own menu with it is easy.    You can make the background any video clip or static image you want and add music and link the movie to it, I just chose the DVD menu for something simple.

OK rock I will have the raw HD file w\sync'd audio and your BD25 for Raiders in the morning to do some comparing, hopefully ALL files in a few days.

Thanks again for the heads up and guidance to tracking them down,I really appreciate it a lot.

also sent you a PM

The sources are 29.97 fps and are a hybrid film and interlaced, so if you are going to re-encode them, an IVTC is necessary.  Just a heads up.

Yep.  Rock's version is definitely the original.

Indeed it is after checking again once I knew what to look for.   I just had never seen that added CGI scene before.

As far as rapidshare, I would have to say no because it sucks and I have already uploaded these.  60+gb whick took me almost a week to upload with my speed.   I am not being rude here, but if you can't shell out a few bucks for a news service, then I am afraid you may not get these.

Is there any place to get the 1080 Braodcast for those of us that do our own encoding?

also what encoder did you use for the BD25 versions?

Thanks

ps. I just signed up but only saw the "Raiders" BD25,did not see the other 2.
The site does look pretty interesting,a lot of what I would be interested in,but why are some links still hidden, what needs to be done for that?

I noticed you signed up, and I bet you will love our site.   The links are hidden until you respond to the thread, a nice 'thank you' will do.

As far as the encodes, I used DGindex, MeGUI, and Ripbot

I can easily provide the original .ts files and synced audio files if you want.
