As for the multiple releases of this movie, it's because the movie was released without a copyright. Someone messed up and now it's a public domain movie. You could put out your own DVD of it if you so felt the need. George A. Romero has never made a dime off of that movie.

i own this transfer. it's great. plus the red case is pretty spiffy, too. it was on one of the encore movie channels a few days back and I happened to catch it. no comparison. red case NOTLD takes the cake, bar none. plus the commentary's interesting.

however, my fave dead movie has to be Day. I can't explain it. I think its because it is the underdog of the dead saga.

i wouldn't be surprised if hitler was done, but i sure as hell couldn't find it (and I looked too!). Herrliche Zeiten wouldn't count anyway because it shows him as archival footage, right?
