star wars Bantam Books VS Random House Spoilers
Time

Ya I have been told that the abridgements can really suck.

But at the time I got my first audio books it was the only way I could ever have enjoyed them. I read slower then a first grader. It would take me forever just to finish a Junior novel. And I was a teenager at the time. and reading a action seen slow is really boring. So reading has never been that much fun for me I love Stories but reading no I even gave a text to speech program on my computer to read long documents. I can read when I have to but as for reading novels I am still so slow they suck. The words get in my way.

An audio book you turn it on close your eyes and watch the movie on the inside of your eyelids. A Book you have to look at words all the time.

Imagine watching the gout with the sound off and instead you have words like the opening crawl telling you all the dialog as will as the action, composted over top of the hole movie. And Imagine that if you stop looking at the words the movie will stop.

star wars Bantam Books VS Random House Spoilers
Time

Well for Kevin J Anderson I like the Jedi Academy.

Dark saber not so much.

As for combining PT with OT Tatooine Ghost was the best.

I will point out that Most of my SW books are on tape and CD

So they are abridged but I am a vary slow reader, and it cake forever to get threw book just reading them.

Now the tapes I got of Dark Empire that was good.

star wars Bantam Books VS Random House Spoilers

Is it just me or do Star Wars books start getting depressing after they went to Random House?

I have enjoyed most of the Bantam Books that I got like all the Timothy Zahn books the X-wing books the Han Solo trilogy and the JedI Academy all good.

But Random House.

Cloak of Deception

was boring. The Approaching storm boring. Darth Maul Shadow hunter ok but the other mane character Dies. Rogue planet ok but the living ship Dies. The new Jedi order Chewbacca Dies!!!!!!!!!!L L L L L L .

I should have stopped there but I did not believe that Chewbacca was truly dead , I thought the he was going to come back.

Then to make it worse Anakin Solo who Chewbacca died to save gets him self killed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At that point I threw the book at the wall and gave up on Star wars books. The only one I got after the was Tatooine Ghost I liked that I almost did not get it but it had Chewbacca on the cover so I thought it would be good. Is was good but not as enjoyable as some of the Bantam Books. What happened?

mattes? There is a book called Industrial Light & Magic the art of Special effects By Thomas G. Smith

It is from 1986 It has some picks of matte paintings from ROTJ

They are not vary big so I do not know if they would be helpful but it may mean that there may be other making of Star wars books from before the SE that may have matte paintings.

I would send you scans of the book but I do not have a working scanner

Had an idea for the EP.IV ANH Jabba the Hutt seen.

Had an idea for the EP.IV ANH Jabba the Hutt seen.
Instead of having Jabba be in docking bay 94, have a hovering hologram droid projecting Jabba  from his  Palace.
And Instead of Han stepping  on Jabba’s tail he just walks
Through the  hologram and it distorts.
This way you are not wondering why Jabba did not have  Han killed on the spot.

Making our own 35mm preservation--my crazy proposal
Time

Well I do not know much about eBay as I have never actually purchased or sold any thing on it. I was looking up Telecine but
Fond this. Moore's law in computing performance and storage capacity has made the traditional telecine model obsolete and is quickly being
 replaced by the file-based workflow.

 http://www.lasergraphics.com/us/pages/telecine-vs-scanning.htm?gclid=CLqmtuOImKcCFcpU2godDQi9dw

My thought was if the traditional
telecine model was obsolete then the old ones mite be being sold off. I Look up Telecine on eBay as a joke but fond something. Also it is being soled for
$17,000.00
How much did Obi-Wan Kenobi say they were going to pay Han Solo?
17,000.00

Well getting a Sony CineAlta HDCAM would be the hard part.

Perhaps a Canon VIXIA HV40 High Definition Camcorder with Native 24p Mode would do it?

that’s only $999.99

As apposed to $80,019.95 for the Sony

Although a

Sony HDW-F900R CineAlta HDCam Camera
BASIC PACKAGE can be rented for

$ 1150 /a Day

If I read it right

http://chatercamera.com/rental_sonyf900_cinealta.htm

Any way it would seem to me that it would be safer to get a good

Camera and do the 35mm transfer in a print owners basement,

then it would be to try bribing a film transfer company, as they could sell you out to Lucas film.

Any way another idea regarding the super 8 Derann print.

Tobin Telecine

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWKyd67P2HI

It Is not HD and the sound would have to be dun separately.

But an Anamorphic DVD may be possible.

This may be a stupid idea and has been suggested before but I just what to jet it out.

I have heard it said that projecting film and recoding it with a video camera will give bad results. So I looked up transferring film to video and found this.

Vintage Telecine Multiplexer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_MPL5WpnR0\\\

Basically its projecting film and recoding it with a video camera.

But it looks as if it can work if dun the right way.

I have also herd that you can get a flickering buy doing it this this way.

But if you had a video camera that shot at 24 frames a secant.

Like the Sony CineAlta HDCAM. Like what Episode 2 was shot on?

Could that not be synchronized with and projector?

And would it not be ironic to have the best bootleg

of the movies that G.L. would like to destroy, be made possible, buy the camera that he had Sony create for him?
