Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released)

crushed whites

That’ was the term I was looking for.

The 2004 DVD had crushed Blacks

And on my laptop screen I have crushed

whites.

(“Also remember I'm working on a calibrated screen.”)

Makes me think of something i was going to ask Harmy

What is the chants that you may include some thing like a THX optimizer , so People can better Calibrate there screen for this version?

What I mean is that the wall panels that stick out have a low contrast to the wall it self.

As so the wall panels that stick out look flatter than they should as I thing some of the shadows of the panels was removed

It could Just be my lap top screen though.

But here is the bottom pic slightly altered

Idea for converting analog to digital.
Time

Idea for converting  analog to digital

To explain my Idea I will be using a VCR and a dazzle for ’ reference
You may want to use  some other converter than dazzle or make your
own in this case but that’s not the point
Also this may work on Laserdisc if it even works at all.
I do not fully know what I am talking about but bare with me.

The way we do it now, to convert  analog to digital.
You have a VCR some Cables a dazzle and a Computer.

The analog signal has to go through the VCR heads than to
the VCR’s circuit board out through the VCR’s Cables in to
the dazzle through the dazzle’s circuit board out the dazzle’s
USB Cable and in to the Computer.

My thought is this combine the VCR’s circuit board and the
dazzle’s circuit board.

This would require a working VCR  for the heads , motors
and every thing that holds and spins the tape .You still may
need  to  save  some chips  from the  VCR  But if you ware to
do this you may want to build your own circuit board.

To simplify this you would take a blank circuit board
And solder the chips  and stuff from the VCR and the dazzle to
it so that you bypassed the in put and out put on the VCR and dazzle.
And had a VCR with USB or fire wire out.

This may  work for Laserdisc to you would need a working
Laserdisc player for the Laser   motors and every thing that
 holds and spins the disk.

3D STAR WARS for the masses...has ARRIVED!
Time

Well I saw TPM in 3D, and I will admit that I enjoyed it.

The 3D was well dun, considering that it was a conversion from 2D 35mm. Some may say that this is like converting a B&W movie to color, but some times if dun well that can look rather good. Other times if dun poorly it looks rely bad.

This 3D converting was dun well and looks rather good.

And if you thought that TPM characters did not have any depth, well they still don’t but the 3D glasses give you the elusion that they do. LOL!

PS

I Know I am feeding the GL monster, but hay I did not buy the blu rays!

I want my kids to see the unaltered Original Trilogy in a real theater
Time

Showing a print of the unaltered Original Trilogy in a real theater would be vary dangerous. To the safety of the print that is.

But if unaltered Original prints where scanned to digital, in HD 1080P copy’s could be made. And a copy could be shown in a real theater with out risk to a Original print. And if Lucas came in to stop the screening some one could simply destroy the hard drive.

To make it better do not have a free sceening. Have a charity screening.

Give all the money to a charity so that if Lucas comes in and stops it he looks like an @$$.

Another nail in the coffin.

"Physical media was also up for the first time in a while thanks to the pair of releases”

Well if its helping to save Physical media than I can forgive it.

Downloading is still a pane , I do not want to have to wait 6houers to download a 2 hour movie and then have the Download stop at 99% and have already pad my money and have no way to get it back or get a new copy.

DVD and blu ray I can go to a store get the movie go home and if it is defective I take it back a exchange it.

As so with Downloading you have to keep all you movies on a big hard drive and if it brakes you lose all you movies.

Then there is streaming video but what it your internet if out you have nothing to do.

Alss streaming video will have buffering. And they may even charge you ever time you watch

The same movie again. And with GL and Star Wars it will not be the same movie. Because GL will change it ever month and you will not have a :Physical copy that he can’t change.

Yes.  the 'Total size' is all the versions of all the files you are attempting to download.  The grey ones will be subtracted from that total as they are figured out to be redundant.  So if a 4gb dvd was uploaded to 5 services, it would say 20gb to be downloaded.  But at the end, you'd only have the 4gb dvd.

OK thanks I did not want to waste hours on some thing that would not work.
