He’s a pedophile*. Don’t bother with him
*I could be wrong about that.

The only anime I’ve ever watched was one episode of something called JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Needless to say I won’t be trying to watch any anime for quite some time, if ever.
I watched a movie called Forest Gump. Needless to say I won’t be trying to watch any movies for quite some time, if ever.
hmm…
Ooh! Also, I played a video game called E.T., So it’s a no-go for me and games.
Heard a band called Nickleback. I assume all music must grate the ears and irritate the other senses as well.
None of those things include tentacle porn.
None of the anime I’ve seen does either. I haven’t watched much anime at all, but Cowboy Bebop never had anything rapey or misogynistic. It was great.
Anyway, saying you heard one bad story so all stories must be terrible or that you saw one movie with a rape scene so all movies must have a rape scene is objectively stupid.

I just can’t hear “Rouge” as “Red”. I’m not terribly familiar with the ins n’ outs of the accent though.
I’d LOVE to see a believable Tarkin! Much more than Vader. I’d like to see no Vader.
Yes, but this is George we’re talking about. The greedy bounty hunter who tries to shoot Han is named Greedo.
See, I’ve never bought that. Greedo wasn’t greedy, he was a bounty hunter doing his job. He wasn’t running around the bar drinking every ones rum and refusing to share his own.
He named the death stick dealer in AOTC, Elan Sleazebaggano. The name even appears in the credits.
I don’t know this character. Or what was happening in George’s mind during the PT. That’s really silly though!
What’s that mean?
Don’t call him Shirley.
Actually, I called him Shirley You. Not on purpose, but it happened.
Shirley You aren’t serious! 😉
They have short metal prongs, but those aren’t tusks.
And things with tusks aren’t referred to as being Tusken.
I’m more curious as to what Lucas was thinking about when he came up with “Tusken”.*
Tuskegee Airmen
I think George made a movie about them, too.
I’ve always figure it came (in movie) from the Sand People hailing from a place called Tusken on Tatooine.
I just took -AND PASSED- the State board Barber Exam!
I’m a fully licensed professional!
HA! That’s great!
Evil Dead. Easily. The work that went into making that film and the results speak for themselves. The awesome camera work, the pacing, the art design, the score… I could go on and on. It’s a wonderful horror film and great example of what can be accomplished by a group of folks with a vision and dedicated to making it happen.
Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn is very good. But, it’s a silly sequel with a bigger budget and that takes some of the wonders of the original had away. But it is truly funny, exciting, imaginative and a ton of fun.
Army of Darkness… nah. It was funny when I was a teen back in the '90’s, but It’s boring and cringe worthy now.
OH, and the remake… NO. The crew had all the money and comforts they could have asked for. They were working from an idea and script which was not their own creation. There’s no magic to it. It has some good effects, but when the budget has $10,000.00 for every $10.00 the original had, it damn well better.
Something swallowed this films soul. It’s a demon called Hollywood.
That’s so silly. Is it inappropriate to call people who live in a city “city people”? Or to call children attending school “school kids”?
The Clash Westway to the World: The best docu of the only band that matters. Still too brief for me and the only real draw is the band interviews which include Joe Strummer before his death.
Yes yes yes yes yesyesyes.
I love T. REX. Electric Warrior and The Slider are great albums to play back to back.
Watchmen (Theatrical Version) 9/10
Wow, didn’t expect it to be that good. Zach Snyder created a spectacularly odd fable involving superhero characters. It’s no ordinary comic book movie, check it out!
I’d rather read the comic. At least then I could avoid the horrible soundtrack and Snyder’s awful style.
Same.
And, just for the record, Snyder didn’t “create” that world or fable. He just made a movie about it.
The only good anime I know are Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra
Reason why might have something to do with the fact they aren’t japanese.
That’s some nice casual racism right there.
It’s your loss. I hate shaky-cam, but CLoverfield was great.
I’d remove the downed AT-AT getting blown up since “That armor’s too strong for blasters!”
I like what Ady has done to it- with the lasers hitting the more obviously damaged neck, but I’d rather see that shot replaced by Snowtroopers repelling out of the AT-AT and running towards the Rebel trenches.
This way when we cut to the Rebel soldiers and “C’mon!” they have a reason to be heading out onto the battlefield. As it stands, it seems like the Rebel troops are running out into danger for no reason at all.
someone please just start a dedicated thread.
Not it!
Wonder Woman has the worst theme song.
Linda looks good in them glasses tho.Blasphemy! 😉
You sayin’ she don’t look good in those giant glasses???
If we disagree on this, we can’t possibly be friends…
1st season version was the best though.

UGH! “In your satin tights, fightin’ for your rights… AND THE RED, WHITE AND BLUOOOOO!!!”
Makes me wad up.
I’ve made an attempt at moving this conversation to the Random Star Wars Thoughts thread.
We’ll see how that goes…
From the “How long does each Star Wars film span” conversation that’s clogging up the Rouge One thread…
Mark’s Down On Your Syntax said:
TESB spans several months, almost a year.
I’d say a few weeks at most.
Could you both give more details about how you see the time passing? What makes one of you feel like it’s months and the other just weeks? This is really interesting.
In my head canon, the Millennium Falcon's trip from Hoth to Bespin took several months travelling at sublight speeds. Time dilation kept the crew from experiencing that amount of time, so that’s why they didn’t arrive starved/dehydrated/really grungy.
Or, they just ate, drank and took showers while living in the Falcon…
I’ve always felt that Empire takes up a month or two.
