And the franchise already sucks without this remake. The 1984 Ghostbusters is the only thing with the title that’s slightly watchable*.

Excuse me? Both animated series were great, the video game basically was Ghostbusters 3 and pretty dang good. And I’m just starting into the IDW ongoing comic series but so far it’s been really good too.

That’s fine if you think so, but it’s no fact. I was the target age group for The Real Ghostbusters cartoon in the 80’s and never liked it. It’s nothing like the movie. I’m too old to have any interest in the other kids show. The video game was lame. It was nice to hear the original cast, but Murry’s delivery sounds SO forced and the script mostly repeats lines from the films.
It’s fine if you enjoy those things, nothin’ wrong with that at all, but none of the other Ghostbusters products capture the tone or feeling of the 1984 movie at all and that’s fact.

Dreams are what I like to call brain junk: They are just the result of the brain trying to reorganize information during it’s daily off time. In other words, it’s just a hallucination. If there were a dream recording machine, what you would see would probably make no sense at all. Humans always want to build stories and structure around things that don’t have much story and structure in the first place. So, when someone remembers a dream in great detail, they are most likely build a non-existent and made up story around a general feeling.

And what exactly do you have a doctorate in, Dr. yhwx?

Ghostbusters (2016)

I think when they’re a little older, my daughters will LOVE this.

That’s the kind of thing I’ve been hoping to hear from people.
I know it’s not for me, and I really couldn’t care any less about that. What I’m hoping it is, is a movie for the future generation so to speak.
The things I already don’t like about it are my problem (read: no problem).
My nickname (online and IRL) is Ray. Inspired by Dan Akroyd in the original Ghostbusters, I started going by that and refusing to answer to anything else, when I was 4 (1985). It stuck. Many people I’ve known for years have no idea what my real name is, or even that Ray isn’t my real name.
That’s all fairly unrelated, but your friend here has been drinking. Your welcome.

I’m drunk. So sorry if this isn’t spellchecked, gramatically correct or interesting to you, but I thought it was nice and worth sharing.
I had to put my cat down today. He’d been my buddy for 13 years. We were very much a team. Nobody in real life knows me without knowing Dresden. Han & Chewie, Ray & Dresden. That kinda thing. His health was in decline for the past couple years, but he still ate and drank regularly and came to me for attention several times a day. I wanted to keep him around as long as the majority of each of his days was happy. Yesterday his health took a severe nosedive.
Tonight many friends and a surprising amount of slight acquaintances from the past 13 years met to celebrate his little cat life and to wish me condolences. It was really very nice. That so many people Showed up to show love and support over something that probably means little to nothing to them in their daily lives and with nothing to gain for themselves and with only hours of notice on a night that they certainly had other things to do… it’s left me quite overwhelmed. It the best way.
People can be really cool.
Good job people.

SOUNDS OF SILENCE – SIMON & GARFUNKEL

ALBUM RATING: 8/10

ALBUM COVER RATING: 5/10

I really love that album cover. It looks like it was made, videotaped and then a picture was taken of the tv screen while the videotape played. I also love the fonts, colors, positioning, poses, expressions, movement, logos and landscape.
