I just had the most horrendous and bloody shaving experience of all time. Word of advice: never buy a bag of 20 razors for $1.79.
We can deal with rude people, it’s just the revolting conmen that everyone hates that should be banned if necessary. Darth Id, or Ghimli for example…
Why would I dedicate space in my brain to Mask of the Phantasm? A movie I will never see, ever.
After consideration, I vote against moderation. The only exception would be for frauds like Darth Id or Ghimli.
Exactly.
Attack of the Clones would have been better if it cut out pretty much every scene on Coruscant, but that can be said about all of the prequels.
It was the first film that made me question why I even bother leaving the house.
I suppose I could’ve googled it.
I assumed it was a made for TV thing.
I don’t want to speak for Hal, but it isn’t the disagreement that bothers me, but the accusations of bigotry.
when they willfully ignore the racist tinge of TPM, I’m going to mock it. . . When someone calls Rey a loathsome mysogynist term like a “Mary Sue” I’m going to call them out for being mysogynist.
I don’t think TPM is racist. “Loathsome mysogynist” is also a pretty intense accusation over a term as inoffensive as Mary Sue.
What the hell is Mask of the Phantasm?
Someone told me last year that their favorite movie was Sex and the City 2.
What kind of gun did you shoot them with?
This was a really, really strange person. You could tell by looking at him that there was something off, so it wasn’t completely shocking that this was his favorite movie.
The only moderation I want in Off Topic is the banning of Darth Id.
I was obsessed with the Beatles in early high school, then Billy Joel, then Bruce Springsteen, then Led Zeppelin, then David Bowie. There have been more over the years, but those were the biggest ones.
I blame Attack of the Clones for this thread.
Regardless, that still doesn’t solve the problem of Off Topic being entirely unmoderated. It used to be just fine, but we keep getting trolls and other idiots popping by and abusing that freedom.
I hope you aren’t referring to Wario64, my all time favorite forum member!
He wasn’t even saying what he didn’t like about TFA, he was stating his complaint about the BTS doc.
What? I was just making a pointless comment about how awful the “What Didn’t You Like About TFA?” is.
I’m doing a marathon of all Eagles albums right now on vinyl as a part of digitizing my vinyl collection, and I’m just loving it! I’m currently halfway through One of These Nights, a criminally underrated album in my opinion. Next up, Hotel California!
No I’m not. Sadly I don’t have a computer capable of playing modern video games anymore, so it’s only Duke Nukem and Doom for me when it comes to computer gaming, Haha! When I get a new machine I’ll be sure to join up though!
It’s because there’s very little silliness or creativity anymore. Most of those posters are long gone. It’s mostly complaining and the same old movie discussions now.
It still has me, and HansiG!
I’ve seen drugs and drink be the ruin of many a poor boy in my relatively short life.
I think Off Topic should be moderated the same as General Star Wars with the exception of allowing Off Topic posts (obviously) and then general profanity. But filthy trash such as Darth Id’s style of posting should get banned for sure. Not to tell the mods how to do their jobs, of course 😃
I can’t.
If Joe Walsh had that attitude he’d probably be dead now. Instead, he toured for over two more decades with the Eagles. He looks better at age 67 than he did at age 40 because of it. If people like Joe Walsh or Eric Clapton can beat their addictions (the former of which could hardly speak in coherent sentences at his worst) then I’m sure you can.
