Meh, it’s easier to enjoy rock n roll knowing the guy that made it is a crazy backward conservative than it is to enjoy a painting made by a guy who attempted genocide.

I think Nugent is more of an obsessive gun-nut type who’s perpetually paranoid that the government is coming to get him and steal his guns than he is a politically-minded individual. Either way though, you’re spot on about the comparison.

I expect any day, to see a trailer for the remakes of Casablanca.

I’m not so sure. They tend to avoid the untouchable classics like Wizard of Oz. They may try to make a sequel or spinoff or some other stupid thing, but I doubt they’d do a straight-up remake.

Aren’t they remaking Ben-Hur?

Yikes, I forgot about that.

Attack of the Clones was so bad it made Home Alone 3 look like Home Alone 2.

I would willingly watch Attack of the Clones before any Home Alone movie. I despise those movies.

At least in Home Alone people get lit on fire and beaten in the head with blunt objects until their teeth fall out.

Ted Nugent is also bonkers but I love his music. But no I never thought of Speaker for the Dead as sexist. One of the protagonists is a brilliant female scientists who makes many independent contributions without help from a man.

Ted Nugent is an awesome guitarist and rocker. Just because someone is nutty (or even downright despicable) does not mean their work should not be appreciated.

We already know how he behaves in real life.

“Hon, why have you been in the bathroom for 30 minutes?”

“GO AWAY MOM!”

People who haven’t actually been intimate with another person probably don’t take all that long. I’m guessing though, I don’t remember.

Well I figure he does it so much that it takes awhile now to get properly, uh, excited.

Should I ask about the death of Joseph Smith in the imperial’scum thread? 😉

I just don’t understand why people think that they are somehow being personally robbed of their books and comics and magazines and video games and whatever simply because they are not officially considered canon. I mean, you can still read the books! FFS . . .

EDIT: I suppose I could see some people’s frustration if any major stories were left unresolved, but to my knowledge there are no major cliffhangers in Legends. They were really scraping the bottom of the barrel by the time the PT ended.

Han seemed pretty shocked that Ben Kenobi hadn’t heard of the Falcon. I have no problem with it being a legend amongst smugglers.

While I agree I have no problem with the Falcon being famous, to be fair, feigned surprise could have been part of his sales pitch or ego.

I suppose, but it had made it around the universe too. It used to be owned by Lando, and who knows who before him.
