I always suspected that Lucas fell behind on technology, which is very sad given how innovative he was. It took years for the OT to arrive on DVD in its heavily altered form, and then Lucas was way behind on blu-ray.

Didn’t he at one point have a Prince-esque reaction to online piracy also, and was using it as an excuse for not releasing the OT on blu ray? Was that a dream?

Does anyone else think that Robert Christgau is the most pretentious and obnoxious media critic in the United States? He constantly (and rudely) accuses all artists whose music doesn’t meet his criteria of being horrible and non-genuine. He seems friendly enough in person, but his comment musing about how Paul McCartney should’ve been murdered instead of John was just beyond despicable.

EDIT: After some further reading, it was his wife that made the McCartney comment, and Christgau co-opted it for his article.

Well, he’s obviously one of the best players the NBA has ever seen, and he has won two titles, but the way he’s gone about it has been less than inspiring.

Good point, but his use of the word “King” as a title strikes me as a clear endorsement for a return to a monarchical government.

Maybe you can offer some insight on this. Why would someone who has only posted about 100 comments since apparently 2010 (if we count lurking) suddenly decide to post fifty comments in less than two days almost exclusively revolving around how everyone on this sight is so “hypocritical”? That time could be better spent doing something less obnoxious, like taxes perhaps.

At least Lapti Nek isn’t 90s CGI in an 80s film.

Like I said, suicide cases need to be dealt with by trained professionals. No one can just say the magic words and make a person stop considering suicide. Even if you cheer them up in one instance, the root cause hasn’t been addressed.

I don’t know about the whole debate, but from what I’ve read, the KJV is much more poetic and straightforward, while the new translations are very watered down and often so concerned about direct translation that they are wordy and awkward.
