Everyone is a victim of something in the literal sense of the word, but yes, people choose to live life as a victim. I try to have sympathy in some cases though.

I’ve never listened to a Kanye West song – at least not knowingly, I may have heard some without knowing they’re his – or album. Some people say he’s talented, but everyone hates his personality.

And FYI, most of those Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies shorts were first aired in theatres, not television.
They were, but I believe most (if not all) of them were aired as shorts before the feature film.

IIRC, U.S. school schedules initially developed to revolve around the needs of agriculture, when a lot of kids had to help out on the family farm in the summer months.
It still is needed for that reason in a lot of states.
People started firing them off around here in late May.
I think that we’re not legally allowed to start lighting them until the 3rd of July. That didn’t stop people from starting a little early. It’s harder to get away with it in the suburbs of the city, so people don’t push it too hard. When I lived in hick-ass village as a child people would start lighting fireworks over a month in advance. I thought it was fun then, now they just give me a heart attack.
I’m already sick of fireworks.
