You already showed them the OUT first and then later on someone showed them the SE and now you banned that kid from your house because of that? That is just stupid. They would see the SE sooner or later, whether you like it or not. Acting like a paranoid dictator and trying to censor things like that is obsessive behaviour. Ironically, reminds me of the behaviour of a certain person who did not want us ever to see theatrical versions again.

I’m not defending pestering, obnoxious people; I just don’t want to be cavalier in calling things harassment.
Isn’t that the point of horror movies in a way? To play up the dangers or controversy of a contemporary issue in a kind of heavy-handed moralistic way?
The problem is that it’s almost always handled poorly when it comes to horror movies about the internet. Halloween Resurrection is a perfect example and overall horror’s incorporation of the internet hasn’t gotten much better since.
Any horror movie which revolves around contemporary communications technology automatically disinterests me.

I guess it depends on the nature of the rejection and how “persistent” the asker is.
Just because there’s no direct physical or psychological harm doesn’t make it okay though. Harassment doesn’t require those things. Consistent unwanted advances would qualify.
It depends on the type of advances and where they occur. Being annoying isn’t harassment; being an asshole isn’t even necessarily harassment.

That only goes for the asking part. Getting a date is where some people have all the luck, and others get stuck waiting for a while.
“Don’t ya panic, don’t ya panic, give it one more try.” If someone says no, you have to ask someone else. That’s where people struggle; getting their heart set on a specific person when there is yet to be any reason to believe it will go anywhere is a bad situation.
Whatever happened to just asking people to go on a date? Why can’t people just go on dates without it having to be serious? Aren’t dates meant to test whether or not you want a relationship? All this backtracking and ambiguity and such is so confusing and pointless. The friend zone is not real, the methods were too ambiguous and there was never a chance to begin with.

I’ve been getting better at it, but it’s hard to talk to her or text her without being a little too obvious (which I don’t think I’m ready for, especially given that she almost definitely doesn’t like me back). I don’t know any of the people she hangs out with, and she only occasionally hangs out with my friend group, so it’s a challenge to really find/make an opportunity for conversation. I’ve been trying to gradually develop a friendship with her, but I’ve been making awfully slow progress. 😛
I have two points of advice. 1: You do want to be somewhat obvious because it’s a safe assumption that she would appreciate you being clear with what you want. Maybe I should stop using Netflix for anything other than sitcoms and other things I don’t care enough about to watch in >DVD quality. I want to scream and just buy the Blu-Ray set of Star Trek TNG even though I shouldn’t spend all that money right now. I’m stuck at 384p right now and I’ve peaked at just 480 before dipping back down.
TNG is between 80 and 100 dollars on Amazon right now. Well worth the price.

There’s a very simple solution to that, which is talking to her. If you do that outside of class, then sitting next to her won’t matter much.
Seltzer and Friedberg “films” don’t get theatrical releases anymore. This will be direct to video and streaming.
If those are going to be Klingons then that is very disappointing. I’m also pretty disappointed that we’ll likely never see DS9 or Voyager on bluray. I know that there was no plan for it, but last week an article was published stating that it would take nearly 50 million dollars to do it, and that’s just simply not going to happen.
One movie would have been enough.

So I finally watched the hobbit last night. Eh. Didn’t care much for it, probably will skip the other two. I’ll sick with Lord of the Rings. That’s where the magic is.
I found them really boring. It never should have been three six hour-long movies.
