Holy shit McCain finally did the right thing.
I called it. He does that from time to time.

That’d be wonderful.
I wasn’t sure if it was a typo, a Mormon reference, or a Star Trek IV reference.
EDIT: Oh, looks like you linked to Star Trek IV!
I was horrified when I saw the footage. I’m glad he’s okay. Shatner’s in great shape so I wouldn’t be surprised if he lives to be 100.
What banned would you say has the best members? This joke is so bad I should be band for it.
Love is the ultimate drug.
Maybe the most dangerous one.
I liked the John Wayne one except the girl. But the girl was kinda the main character so a mixed reception is the best it could get from me.
I agree. The problem is that they basically made her character be in her early 20s when she was written to be about 14. The story doesn’t work the same way when you change that aspect of her character. Plus the actress in the 2010 film was excellent.
It’s very rare to my knowledge. I think it’s just a way for Republicans and Democrats to distract from real issues.
How are the Democrats distracting from real issues? It is certainly real to the people who were allowed to be open about being trans and now are being kicked out.
Real was an inappropriate word, obviously it’s very real to the people it affects. I meant that it distracts from the wars and the NSA spying that are both completely supported by Democrats and Republicans. Things like the indiscriminate drone strikes that kill mostly civilians, the compiling of our emails, the assault on whistleblowers, and the nonstop military conflicts in the Middle East are supported wholeheartedly by both parties. The Bush, Obama, and Trump administrations are all equally guilty in terms of that stuff.
I wish I could be as happy sober as I am when drunk.
Drinking is the only thing that makes me feel worse than sober! I probably lucked out there.
I think my hair was blonde as a kid but darkened at some point when I became a teenager.
You can’t make a medical diagnosis over the Internet. OCD is a serious psychological and mental condition. Wanting your bookshelf to be neatly organized isn’t it. People overuse and misuse the term too much.
It’s an easy term to use to describe people with obsessive tendencies whether they’re diagnosed with OCD or not.

White privilege time.

In this latest incident, even without video and before any witnesses have come forward, Justine Damond’s death has already resulted in the firing of the Minneapolis police chief. There are calls for better training of police officers. When the Black Lives Matter movement has sought such responses in situations where blacks have been killed, they have often been castigated as too-racially-sensitive troublemakers.
To people who ask me why everything always comes down to race, I respond: Because it does. That has been this nation’s truth since American European colonies were established on this continent in the 17th century.
Look at what is happening with the opioid crisis. So long as black and brown people were the faces of addiction and drug-related crime, lawmakers were perfectly fine with the tough law-and-order approach. But now that white people in New England and in the Rust Belt are opioid victims, there is a sudden interest in public health solutions rather than punitive measures. To persuade reluctant senators to sign onto a stalled Trumpcare bill that would replace the Affordable Care Act, there was talk of making more money available to address the effects of opioid abuse. They could care less about addiction on Greenmount Avenue in Baltimore. It’s all about white addicts in “Red State” America.
White privilege is cold comfort when you’ve already been murdered. I see your point though, it’s just a terribly ironic way to put it.
I would find it hilarious if some squeaky clean Christian music act turned out to be closeted satanists, putting backwards messages in their albums.
I remember when KISS was everyone’s go to band for corrupting the youth of America. Now they’re innocuous enough to star in a Scooby Doo movie.
It went from Elvis to the Stones to Zeppelin & Sabbath to KISS to Van Halen to a variety of metal bands.
I’ll send him a message and see if he knows what it was. I found another guy that was there as well.
Did anything come of this?
I also really love suspiciouscoffee.
That’s true, Sabbath has just always been the token Satanic band to be scared of.
Maybe to people who haven’t heard Mayhem from Norway. 😃
People don’t want to go to obscure in their fear-mongering with rock n roll. They want to convince you it’s all Satanic.
I’m not sure. Anxiety, if that’s what it is, is the least of my problems anyway so I don’t think it’s worth doing anything about.
Sure it is. Getting rid of it will make your other problems easier to deal with.
Agreed.
I think you guys are probably right, but I also think I’ve overstated its effect on me so I’m going to give it some time and see if it goes away. Like I said, I’ve got bigger hurdles to leap at the moment.

It’s always tough to listen to rock and rollers like Geddy or David Lee Roth in their old age. Their voices are shot. Some rock vocalists like Debby Harry and Sammy Hagar took good enough care of their voices to still sound great at seventy, but it’s rare for that style of singing. Paul McCartney’s voice is pretty iffy too, but I’ve seen him live a couple times, including once less than a few months ago and he still sounded great at my shows. He can’t quite handle the screaming anymore but his voice is still in way better shape than people like Dylan or Roth.
I don’t think I’m willing to take medication
Why not?
They freak me out, and I don’t want to have side effects or be medicated.
That’s true, Sabbath has just always been the token Satanic band to be scared of.
I don’t think I’m willing to take medication, which would probably be the only thing they’d tell me to do.
Now the choice seems more clearcut.
