Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

I am completely lost when it comes to containers and file formats so I would like some clarification on that so I know what to download when the files are released. Also what kind of extras are you planning on including? I think my ultimate Blu-ray collection would include the Despecialized and revisited versions in HD on one disc (I don't think Revisited HD will get released until 2016 though) and on the bonus disc would be the building Empire series of filmumentaries

Info: My Dream Blu-ray
Time

My dream Blu-ray would be one that contains both Harmy’s Despecialized and Adywan’s Revisited both in HD as well as Star Wars Begins documentary. It should have the best looking menus and pop up menus as well and some really cool special features collected by the most passionate fans. Finally it should have a community commentary recorded by all the members of this forum. Can someone who is knowledgeable with Blu-ray menu design put something like this together?

Harmy would it be ok to upload the Despecialized edition onto youtube? There are a very large amount of Star Wars fans and classic movie fans in general who would love to see this but may not have the technical expertise or the right equipment in order to burn a DVD. I think that if the Despecialized edition were streamed on youtube it would open up the film to a much wider group of people. I see that Adywan's revisited has been uploaded onto youtube in 13 parts

One of my favorite parts of the Despecialized Star Wars is the music only track, it really delivers a unique experience to watch without dialog. I haven't gotten a chance to watch the entire film with the music only track but the parts I have seen are very good. I would highly recommend that you extend the same treatment to ESB and ROTJ

Harmy I read a couple pages back that you wanted to do Blu-ray menus for the 2.1 release are you still planning on doing that? What will be in the menus? Are they going to be those cool blu-ray menus that pop up during the movie and have sound effects and stuff or is that something only available to the big studios? Looking forward to 2.1 I've enjoyed your previous work and I've even given out the Blu-ray trilogy to some video game podcasters to talk about in their mailbag monday segment.

Did anybody notice that the Blu-ray insert for Star Wars says "two unforgettable droids RD-D2 and C-3PO"?

STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD 2.1 Blu-Ray has not been released yet, perhaps your in the wrong thread?

He's off-topic most of the time.  I think he's talking about the official Blu Ray by the way.

Sorry for being off topic I'm new here. I'm referring to Harmy's Star Wars Blu-ray insert

Is anybody worried about Disney? As much as we are angry at George Lucas for screwing up Star Wars you do have to give him credit for not taking legal action against his fans. Now that a major corporation without its history based mostly on Star Wars has taken over I worry that Disney won't think twice before bringing the hammer down

Well, I never made an mkv of ESB and ROTJ, so you downlaoded something weird. How big are they? If they are the same streams as the AVCHD just remuxed to mkv, you could probably use MKV Toolnix along with MKVextract to extract the streams from the mkv and then use TS Muxer to remux to AVCHD.

Anyway, here's something new:

I could try to use those programs but I would rather just mux the original AVCHDs since I don't know if this weird MKV that I have is curropted in other ways. By the way would it be better if I asked you my questions in a Private Message as you can probably tell I am very much a novice at this

Is there .mkv's of the ESB and ROTJ DeEd's too? or just AVCHD?

Can only find the AVCHD's on binsearch

I do not believe there was an MKV release, just AVCHD.  But with mkvmerge, you can very easily save them as MKV's

Ah ok, thanks :D Just didn't want to ruin the quality of Harmy's work, wasn't sure if mkvmerge would do that or not.

My ESB and Jedi file names end in .mkv but you say that that is not true? So confused
