Actually, we used the GOUT audio, at 192k. For the Bluray, we are going to try to use higher bitrates, and better versions of the Audio.

It has taken us some time, but there will be a better preservation of the mono soundtrack, thanks to Jaxxon - [16mm print].

We’ve checked out the synchronizing with all of our Reels, and so far it sounds good.

So 16mm mono, 35mm stereo and a reconstructed 70mm version + 35mm spanish soundtrack will be uncompressed PCM/DTS on BD ISO, they are fixed/restored?

OK, you just want to make it best you can. +1 😃

Can you tell as approximately how much you will need to sync LD audio?
Did you already have LD audio or volunteer who will send it to you? (Maybe FanFiltration)
Will be more then welcome to just keep us updated.

And keep 5.1 mix on Blu-Ray as alternate audio.

For these who is searching for compressed rip, it must surface soon like previous AMC HD, just little patience.

Since this one has a 5.1 track (restored!!), does anyone have the original PCM track from the laserdisc? I’d be interested in syncing it for the release.

That would take some more time.

I’m for BD as it is broadcasted, and later if/when someone preserve re-synced original PCM track from the laserdisc can be easily muxed to BD.

So there is no need to hurry for preserving LD audio, in this way we can get it proper without issues (always something can go wrong), like: V1 fiix this, V2 fix that…

Is possible to extract full English subtitles?

Impressive. Most impressive.

Thanks to all involvements in this project and specially for share it with public.

What about alternate audio track as DTS:X or Dolby Atmos…
I’m curious also what other thinks about it…
Or it’s simply bad idea…

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X soundtracks are recorded and mixed differently than conventional surround sound formats. They use a system known as “object-based” surround sound. Sounds move around, coming at you from all directions, not just front and back. You enjoy a more three-dimensional listening experience.

The Force is strong with Team -1.

I don’t know about anyone else, but this is my most anticipated release in years. I really can’t believe they’re doing this. I probably won’t believe it until I see it.

You’re not alone. I’ve long hoped to see something like this. I own the 1901-1980 Trilogy on VHS and whilst I was delighted to get hold of the AMC broadcast (presented in HD and OAR), it was an inevitably censored version. HBO are offering something that’s unprecedented and I can’t wait to see it.

Yeah. Totally unexpected surprise.

And finally I can say Goodbye to godfathermuseum FanEdit.

It’s only HBO DJ for trailers. 😃

The promo says: edited into this single film + R-Rated
Let’s say if they will use only one intro and end credits, this can be the most extended, remastered & uncensored version.

Dave @ godfathermuseum
This is history. The runtime is 424 minutes. This “Godfather Epic” will be like the original Godfather Saga release in 1977 except without the opening and ending credits. With the opening and ending credits, it runs to about 434, and without them it’s around 424 minutes. The Godfather Epic that will be shown on HBO should not be mistaken with the vhs release of 386 minutes. The will truly be history because there will be no HBO logo, no commercials and the violence and language will be there.

Future work to be done:

Make 35mm replacement scene in Reel 2 match grain, and resolution of 8mm.

It's not good solution (in V1 is huge difference), may be is better to transfer missing scenes from lower source (16mm).

But how is possible that 2min+ is missing from reels what Poita have?
I mean it's unpossible that he forgot to scan it... someone cut them out from reels?

I'm curious how will looks second transfer.

This 8mm transfer looks so nice & really unique.  :D
I wish you will preserve it in best way you can.

Cheers!

All the scenes from the AMC HD extended version of the film are now inserted back into the film. The quality is in full hd and sourced for the Coppola restored blu ray with full 5.1 surround. This is the first time these scenes have been edited back into the original film in a full hd cut.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Full HD, Full 5.1 surround..?....

Your intention to make extended edition is excellent.
But in deleted scenes audio goes out of sync, bitrate is too low...

File size                   : 3.33 GiB

Duration                    : 3h 19mn
Bit rate                     : 2 297 Kbps
Width                       : 1 904 pixels
Height                      : 1 072 pixels
Bits/(Pixel*Frame)          : 0.047

Audio
Format                      : AAC
Bit rate                    : 128 Kbps
Channel(s)                  : 2 channels

Info: GODFATHER Saga (HD) - on TLN Canada...

The Godfather Saga

The first two Godfather films were re-edited together in chronological order with additional footage added.  Starring Marlon Brando, Al Pacino & Robert De Niro.  Part 1 of 4.

http://tlntv.com/shows/mucho-movies

Airing in Canada August 31st 2014 on TLN in HD

They aired this 3 weeks ago but I missed it! Thankfully they are showing it again @ noon in HD on Sunday. Be careful though because they are also airing Godfather proper afterwards. It’s airing as a marathon over 5 parts on Sunday so if you record it make sure you are recording each 2 hour part(again 5 parts total for 10 hours so make sure you have room on hard drive). I’m not sure if this is the AMC cut version since a tiny Canadian channel wouldn’t be able to afford making an uncut HD version since none has ever existed but technically Canadian TV doesn’t have the censor problems American channels do, so who knows? Maybe they’d splice in uncut versions of scenes from the blu ray remaster

**Maybe will be in some way different

Edit:

We actually have a recording of that broadcast. It was not the most recent version shown on AMC, it was the older version shown throughout the late 90’s on channels like USA and Bravo.
